The Best Guitar Stool

I buy a seat for comfort, not flash. I tried all the stools out there and the best value for comfort and price is the Proline 24" Faux Leather Guitar stool. I've had the Proline stool for over a year and use it everyday for a few hours. Liked it so much, I bought more to use in the Luthier shop and everyone thinks they are great. Had a little problem with wobble, but with use the legs leveled out. I will definitely buy these again, especially when GC runs a sale on them. Tried many other brands like Fender, Gibson, Roadrunner and they were like sitting on Rocks. They may look nice, but I wanted something I could use, not look at.

Good & Bad

I compared with ALL the other guitar stools at GC, and this stool was by far the most comfortable even though it was cheaper than the others. Also it was a good height for me. But after I got home and assembled a brand new (from the box)stool, the stool had a slight rock ... the legs were not all the same height. I did make the stool stop rocking by shimming the soft plastic feet. I am too busy to run back to GC and exchange for another ... and possibly another ... so the bottom line ... nice design, but poor quality control by the manufacturer.

    Maybe I got a bad one, legs on one side were more than 1/2" shorter than the other side. I was able to return it.

    Son liked this stool best in store. Bought. It wobbles badly. Took apart and retried several times. Driving 45 minutes back to return it. Junk. Read reviews before you buy it. Everyone has this problem. I'd pay twice what this cost to have it functional.

    What is the overall width of the legs for stability? Is the ring set high enough to keep my leg height slightly higher at the knee going towards my thigh in order to play my guitar comfortably with no risk for slippage?

    Hi, I was wondering if this was a good stool to purchase for the classical guitar position. I'm 5'8 and have one seat at home about this stools' height. So my question is will the foot rest for this stool be high enough for my knee to keep my guitar from slipping?

    You should be alright. This will put your leg at being just about level so it should be just about perfect.
