I have been gigging professionally since 1969 and My other keyboard amps are one Motion Sound KP-220S (100W RMS /channel), one Motion Sound KP-408S (200W RMS /channel) and a pair of EV SXa360's (500W RMS biamped / channel each). I also use EV SX-80's retrofitted with Eminence Beta 8's and driven by Stewart PA-200's. This amp is obviously none of those, but I was surprised and impressed by what Peavey has done in the clarity, loudness and sonic range of this amp. The KB1 punches way above its weight class and is a nice addition to any pro keyboardist's arsenal, good for when you just need something very portable and decent sounding, and there is no immediate need to break windowsat 50 feet or get heard above a screaming guitarist or pounding drummer.

This is a good practice amp but don't expect to get much range or power from this amp. Sound input needs to be good or great to get a decent sound out of this little amp. Don't expect to use this amp for any live situations.

Can this amp be used with an electronic drum set? Would I simply use speaker cable to connect the two?

It would work. Don't use speaker cables, they're only for speakers. A standard 1/4" to 1/4" guitar cable will work
