The KOMPLETE KONTROL Series MIDI keyboards from Native Instruments are designed to give you immediate, hands-on control of your music. From the flagship KONTROL S Series with enhanced browsing and performance features, to the addition of the smart, streamlined KONTROL A Series, there's now a keyboard that's right for any musician. The KONTROL A Series is the more affordable entry into the world of Native Instruments, without compromising quality. You get a premium, semi-weighted custom Native Instruments keybed, an informative OLED display for at-a-glance navigation, eight touch-sensitive control knobs, ergonomic pitch and mod wheels and a 4-directional push encoder for one-handed sound browsing and project navigation.

The KONTROL A Series is streamlined, removing all the added features from the S Series and leaving behind the core features you'd expect in a MIDI controller. But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice, because the A Series still benefits from seamless integration with KOMPLETE KONTROL tag-based browsing so you can find sounds quickly and hear instant previews. And you'll always be inspired with Smart Play, allowing you to stay in key with over 100 scales and modes, play chord progressions and arpeggios with single keys, or map any scale to white keys only. So, if you don't need all the extras that come with more expensive controllers, then all you're giving up with the KONTROL A Series is the added expense.

Great product. Keys are comfortable to play where you actually wanna create music. Plugins are really good. For some reason there some plugins that don't load, it may have to do with loading kontakt and komplete kontrol separately. Overall definitely a keyboard for someone looking to start out and price is good.

If you have Maschine and you want keys get the komplete kontrol it will be the missing piece to the puzzle and the knobs go directly to maschine software. You can't go wrong. The screen is small on the keyboard but if you look at the screen it won't matter. Buttons are clicky but reminds me of an ASR sound when hitting buttons
