Excellent practice combo
Basically an expensive practice amp. Very good sound quality when used alone at standard practice volumes. If you are working on your chops and have picky requirements for your sound this is fantastic, for dialing in the MB sound. Outside of this it does not have enough "push" to have proper presence for most other playing situations, and has a very basic tone controls. As a sit in with a acoustic guitarist or with other sensitive players at lower volume it should be fine. But, and there is always a but, for the price of this combo Markbass could have put easilly another 40w into it to bring it 100w in it by simply small adjustments in the amp design. Adding another cabinet, as advertised, is almost useless it does not hold up soundwise at 60w split between 2 cabs. Using it as a direct out to a PA has possibilities, but you will most definitely not have adequate presence at even a comfortable moderate volume. My GK 150MB did the job for years in filling my need for a small cab that projects OK. But it died after 2 decades of use. The Markbass combo does have really nice tone for working on your music practice recording or otherwise, and this is probably its best use, do not have high expectations for live use with it. I should offer a lower star rating review based upon cost of this amp, but if one is looking for quality practice amp this is fine.

Junk...
I already own an Italian made MarkBass CMD 102P. Great sounding and reliable combo. Wanted something small and lightweight, but still good sounding, for practice and small house gigs. First issue upon opening the box was discovering that the factory had neglected to pack the IEC power cable. I spoke to Jeff in customer service as and he ordered up one to send out right away at no charge. I have plenty of IEC cables hanging around so I plugged in. Turned on the amp with the gain and volume down but heard a quick whistle through the speaker that lasted about three seconds. Not a good sign... Turned the gain and volume both up to about 1/3 and started to play. Sounded really good for about five minutes. Turned up the volume to 1/2 and was greeted with screeches and static. Sounded like cheap 1950's sci-fi movie special effects. No signal coming through from the bass at this point. Just the unpleasant screeching. Turned it off. Turned it back on a few minutes later and it went straight to screeching and static. Disappointed to see that it was made in Indonesia... More disappointed that it was a lemon. MarkBass just lost a customer.

Wanted a light weight portable combo that I could just throw in the backseat and go. Has nice clean tone , great low end response. Bought as a practice amp, not sure if it could handle a band setting, but that wasn't reason for purchase.

I have the larger Jeff Berlin Combo in my home studio, so the Little Mark is in and amp stand in the living room; enough out of the way and present playability.

I gig with the Little mark Tube 800 and the 104HF cab like everybody else. and I wanted something for those smaller than ideal gigs at coffee shops and cafes. the hardest part was finding something that can also be ideal for recording. this combo was exactly what I was searching for. Loud enough to play with a full acoustic drum kit. you can mute the speaker if you are recording using the DI or headphones to practice with the Markbass Preamp. :) I wish this combo had a little more power but i cant complain cause it sounds and plays louder than 60 watts. did i mention this combo is tiny and fits anywhere on a tiny stage plot.

Is there a way I can get this without the Markbass emblem and cartoonish Marcus plaque? Jeez guys they sound great but look really toyish. Have debadged my Markbass rig so just black w yellow speakers. Still kind of 80s...
This would have to go through Markbass if they can do this. It would be a custom modification.
