Introducing the Maestro Original Collection

Maestro

Description

The Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M Effects Pedal- this stompbox revives the iconic fuzz tone that shaped the sound of rock and roll. It delivers the same gritty, wooly distortion that gave '60s guitar gods their signature snarl. Now you can summon those snarling, singing sustain and harmonically rich fuzz tones at the stomp of a switch.

Thick, Gnarly Fuzz Tones from the '60s

The FZ-M recreates the germanium transistor-powered fuzz popularized in the 1960s. It produces a warm, thick fuzz tone rich in even-order harmonics for a classic rock sound. Adjust the Fuzz control to go from a subtle grit to an all out fuzz assault. The Tone control lets you shape the color of your distortion. Dial in a darker, heavier fuzz or open up the tone for a more articulate sound.

Simple, Durable Design

The FZ-M features a simple, road-ready design. Its compact, lightweight aluminum housing saves space on your pedalboard. The true bypass switching lets your signal pass through uncolored when the effect is off. Rugged construction and high quality components ensure years of great tone and reliable performance.

Authentic Vintage Style

With its retro graphics and knob layout, the FZ-M looks like a fuzz pedal straight out of the '60s. The vintage inspired design completes the old school experience of using this pedal. Whether you play searing hard rock leads or fuzzy rhythm work, the Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M helps you channel the gnarly spirit of '60s fuzz.

Bought this from guitar center 6 months ago, and i still love it! THIS NEEDS TO BE FIRST PEDAL IN YOUR SIGNAL CHAIN! Players who think the pedal isn't responsive are missing this detail. The Maestro fuzz boosts your pickups, so you can't have any other pedals i between the guitar and the fuzz pedal, not even a tuner. When placed first, it sounds gritty and nasty, pure satisfaction.

  • Disappointing. Returned.

Does not work right out of the box. Takes a lot of experimenting with amp settings to get a fuzz effect. The best you get is not worth the effort. Too bad, I really wanted a good fuzz pedal.

Is this just a Maestro FZ-1 or FZ-1A Fuzz Tone with some new features, or something entirely new?

    Open Reply - Thomas
It's not entirely new.The issue with a retro pedals is that the same parts are no longer available. If you want a fuzz, this is currently the best bet.
