Description
The Mackie DRM-18S, a professional 18" powered subwoofer delivering thunderous low-end for live sound reinforcement and installations. This rugged sub is equipped with a custom-designed 18" high-excursion woofer in an 18mm plywood enclosure, providing tight, accurate bass response at high SPLs. Thanks to an ultra-efficient 2,000W Class-D amplifier and next-generation protection circuitry, the DRM-18S offers ample headroom and keeps components safe even under demanding conditions.
Advanced DSP Provides Acoustic Correction
Mackie's acclaimed ImpulseTM DSP provides precision tuning and time alignment for the DRM-18S, yielding a clear, punchy sound with minimal phase issues or boominess. User-adjustable crossover points and polarity inversion allow for easy integration into any system. There's even a DRM-specific mode for full compatibility with Mackie's DRM line array speakers. Save up to six presets for quick recall at different venues.
Full-Color Display Offers Intuitive Control
The DRM-18S is equipped with Mackie's DRM Control Dashboard, featuring an easy-to-read full-color display. Quickly view metering, adjust crossover points, set delay timing for delay stacks, and more using a single knob. Easily configure cardioid subwoofer arrays for highly directional bass coverage. A built-in screen saver, dimmer, and passcode lock help prevent tampering.
Roadworthy and Installation-Ready
Despite its power and advanced DSP, the DRM-18S is ruggedly built for life on the road or permanent installation. Its texture-coated 18mm plywood cabinet is reinforced to handle the stresses of repeated transport and high-volume use. Dual combo XLR/TRS inputs, full-range direct outputs, and high-pass outputs provide flexible connectivity options for any scenario. A pole cup allows for pole-mounting smaller full-range speakers on top of the sub. universal power supply.
