Phase 90 is GOAT of Phase pedals. The hand wired is no exception.

This is a really cool pedal. My downside was I was talking to the rep about the LED and Power Supply Output but unfortunately I must have Fave him the wrong SKU# but I was hoping I didn't but in the long run I got the True -974 Model and not the newer version of the Custom Shop MXR Phase 90. I'm making it work just fine but I have double check all the time that it's turned off when done on my board. Other than that, it's a super sick and awesome Phare pedal.
This is it!!

All analog effects setup. This pedal is essential for that Strat 70's Tone. These were great sounding effects. Then, I spent years and a small fortune on the latest digital gimmick only to end up right back in the 70's....lol
Great pedal, totally old school vibe.

Wish they'd not made it quite so authentic....right down to having to take the back plate off to change the battery. Not sure if this aspect of the original pedal was important to the sound!

Like it more than the ZW Phase 90 and regular Block Logo. Not crazy better , but to me maybe about 30 percent better. Very comparable to the 1970s phase 100 I have also. I know one is a 4 stage and one is a six stage phaser , but tonewise , definitely similar. This one has a more pronounced and tastefully appropropriate flavour. Sound does not drop out of existence in the middle of the sweep and its depth keeps me out of seasick territory. Battery snap and leaving one screw out solved the barrel inlet power supply issue and the LoopMaster controls the on or off light indication (not entirely necessary). I like the Less Is More design approach. Pedal Month at guitar Center knocked it down to around $100 so the little extra was not enough to be concerned about. Money not important , only TONE important. I will be enjoying this long after the money is forgotten. Besides , the M--g 6 and 12 stage phaser is probably triple the price. Which is the only other phaser I would even think of considering. No tone sucking to my ears when not engaged , even though it is not true hardwire bypassed. This style MXR box would Never have me questioning reliability and I believe this to be the reason why MXR has built their company to where it is today.

If you are complaining about the lack of LED and DC power input, look on Musician's Friend. I don't know why Guitar Center doesn't have it, but MXR released a version of this pedal with both of those, and for $20 less. So before buying this, look around for that other version. I have it, and love it.
