Really good mic, we had been using the MXL Cr77's for the last couple years, but this one is WAY better. It's louder, and it has a better frequency response.
An excellent, underrated and very cool looking mic.

I've long been mystified at the prejudice against MXL mics. I own a couple of their large diaphragm condensers that I use in my studio on vocals and acoustic instruments with good results. I use this dynamic mic for live vocals and it sounds great. It's ruggedly well built. I'm impressed as usual with this MXL mic.
Great value.
