Description

The Meinl Professional African Djembe is expertly hewn from a solid piece of mahogany wood, and fitted with a hand-selected goatskin head. Meinl uses the traditional Mali Weave tuning system with high quality HTP rope. Thirty vertical runners keep the head in tune, properly balanced, and looking proud.

    I've never owned a djembe before but after spending a great deal of time researching djembes (brands, styles, prices), this one was the one I decided to get. I love it. I got the large djembe and so it has a very deep sound. It's well crafted and looks great. I've wanted to learn to play a drum like this for a long time and finally decided to buy one and begin. I would buy this same one again if ever the need was there.
