I've enjoyed playing my new Meinl Headliners for a couple of weeks now. Both the sound and quality of workmanship are excellent, especially for the price. You don't get that high-pitched (almost like clicking)sound that one hears from other brands played by Latino bongoceros. Instead the sound is much warmer, darker, more wood-like; yet, you can still make them "pop" with rim-shots and finger strikes. Overall, I like my new Headliners very much and have a great time playing them.
