Description

These MEINL Nile Series Rope Tuned Djembes are made from a solid piece of plantation-grown mahogany wood and are hand carved. This also makes the djembe easy to grip between the knees. The hand-selected goat skin head is secured and tuned with the traditional Mali Weave system.

    The drum is good but not in a good condition. It is not a fresh new one. I think it's a sample with dirty surface.

    This had been on backorder for three months, but now that I've got it, it was worth the wait. I wanted a djembe that had a good bottom end, and the 13" job certainly does that. Good thing my studio is heavily insulated so the neighbors won't complain. The bass is so good, you get the sensation of air moving similar to feeling you get when putting sound through a subwoofer. It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, but that's not a problem. The sound it produces is excellent. And the outer finish is very attractive.
