Meinl Bongo Cajon

Description
This Meinl Bongo Cajon fuses the rich tone of a traditional cajon with the melodic voices of bongo drums. Musicians can achieve a spectrum of sounds, from deep bass thumps to bright slaps and pops. The playing surface features designated areas for high and low pitches, allowing drummers to recreate familiar bongo rhythms. Whether performing on stage or recording in the studio, the bongo cajon is a dynamic and versatile percussion tool for any player.
Dual-Voice Design Produces Musical Melodies
The bongo cajon's clever construction gives drummers the best of both worlds. Its cajon body delivers warm, resonant tones that provide a solid rhythmic foundation. Meanwhile, the playing surface is divided into distinct high and low-pitch zones for crafting melodic bongo patterns. Drummers can alternate between these areas or blend them together, opening up a world of creative possibilities.
Premium Wood Construction Sings With Sustain
Handcrafted from quality wood materials, the bongo cajon produces notes that bloom with rich harmonic overtones. Its cajon body is made of sturdy Siam oak, renowned for its acoustic properties, while the playing surface features an ebony front plate. Ebony is a dense, durable wood that helps create crisp, articulate sounds with long sustain. These premium wood types give the Bongo Cajon and unparalleled tonal character.
Ergonomic Shape Provides Hours of Comfort
Shaped for drummers' comfort, the bongo cajon features smooth, contoured edges and a compact profile that fits snugly between the knees. Its angled backrest and beveled top edge provide proper hand positioning and support. Non-slip rubber feet keep the instrument firmly in place during energetic playing. Thoughtfully designed, the bongo cajon lets drummers stay focused on their craft rather than physical strain.

I use the Bongo Cajon in a trio. The Bongo Cajon has excellent response and sensitivity when playing loud or soft. Very easy on the hands and fingers. I am amazed at the sound replication of an acoustic Bongo! Well made, sturdy and light weight. I highly recommend this product for live performance and recording!
A Nice unusual set of bongos

This Bongo Cajon has a nice sound and feel. And the price was lower than other bongos available. My only critique is that the totally square design makes it hard to hold between your knees as is customary with bongos. You have to either balance it on your lap or put it on a stand, which is nerdy. Definitely happy with it though.
Very practical!

Great fun. Bought for jam nights at the local venue. Only complaint is that there isn't much grip on the angled sides if you place them like traditional bongoes. May need to add something grippy, like neoprene.

I'd like to put this on a stand, is there such a thing for this particular Cajon drum I can use?
Unfortunately, no. Not at present.
