Description
Ludwig’s new Evolution Maple series features lacquer finished North American maple shells with 45º bearing edges. Additionally, Evolution Maple drums are outfitted with Remo batter heads and triple flange hoops. This combination provides an upgraded “pro level” sound character rarely seen or heard from drum sets in this price range. The 6-piece shell pack configuration provides maximum flexibility to complement a wide variety of musical styles. This shell pack includes a 22 x 18 in. bass drum with double tom holder, 12 x 9 and 10 x 8 in. toms with suspension mounts, 14 x 14 in. and 16 x 16 in. floor toms with legs and a 14 x 6.5 in. snare drum.

    Amazing kit for the money. Quality maple shells w beautiful finish. These drums sound great with the stock heads but will change before the first gig with them. I own several high end kits mostly Ludwig... this kit sounds as good as any of them. 5 star kit for sure. Only two negatives. The kit arrived with a cracked bass hoop. GC quickly dealt with this on the spot. Secondly, the snare throw off is not my cup of tea... but I will be using my Black Magic with this outfit so no big deal. If you're on the fence...grab this kit before they are gone. Big shout out to Aria and the staff at GC....the best always professionals!

    Never played a kit where the factory heads sounded good! This kit will not disappoint in any means. I cannot believe the sound that comes from this kit! I am super excited that this is what I will be playing for a while now! Rack toms sings and has a focused tone, while the floor toms have a big deep sound with no muddiness. The kick drum is super beefy! Cannot wait to hear it on a PA. Snare has a good crack and sounds good low or high!

    Unbelievable price for these super quality shells! Use in my studio, replacing Ludwig set made in February 1969, they're gorgeous!
