My Favorite Besides Mogami Gold
I'm a guitarist and audiophile who is very particular about my tone. I will swap cables back and forth listening for slight differences (along with doing before and after recordings when changing pickups, modifying wah pedals, etc). I compared these head-to-head with Lava Clear Connect and a made-to-order cable from online German company Singlecoil.com (they also make pickups and sell other accessories). The Livewire Elite is the most balanced of the, while costing the least. The Neutrik connectors are better than those used by the other two. The German cable is clear and bright, but not as resonant in the lower frequencies (very good for neck humbuckers, though). The Lava is surprisingly darker, noticeably lacking in highs compared to the other two. It has good resonance, but doesn't seem as clear due to rolled off highs. To be fair, it is 14 feet long while the others are 10, but in my experience 4 feet doesn't make that big of a difference. I use Mogami Gold short patch cords and mic cable, but don't have a similar length Mogami instrument cable for comparison. However, the construction and flexibility of Livewire Elite is very similar, others claim they sound very close, and they're certainly the best instrument cables I've tried other than Mogami (including Monster, which IMO is overpriced). These seem like a reasonably priced, excellent alternative to Mogami Gold.

Developed intermittent shorts in the cable from the little sleeves that like to slip out of the Nutri ends. Poorly constructed would not buy again not dependable.

I was looking for a good guitar cable to record my music and this one is perfect. It doesn't have the wiggling sound and it's not loose.
Only long cables I use

I've used the Livewire elite cables for over 15 years now. Only cables I use. Never had a problem with them, always very high quality. The cables I bought 15 years ago work just as good as the ones I bought a couple weeks ago. The quality and craftsmanship has continued throughout.

I switched from Monster Cables to Livewire about 15 years ago after Monster increased their prices and made it difficult to utilized their "Lifetime Warranty". I have to be honest the Livewire Elite cables are just as good as Monster Cables. I know it's a bold statement but my opinion comes after 15 years of comparing to two. They are made with very similar, materials, and build quality. After 15 years of gigs and studio use, I have yet had to get one of the them replaced. It's also nice to know if the cables do fail, Guitar Center will replace them at the store.
