Description

The Line 6 Spider V 30 MkII is a great amp for practicing whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player—but it’s far more than a practice amp. Whether you like to plug in and immediately rock a traditional amp tone, or enjoy tweaking parameters until you’ve devised a unique and awe-inspiring sound, this machine gives you the tools to create exactly what you want.

Classic Speaker mode provides an organic sound and feel, while all-new presets—including vintage amp presets voiced by a renowned tube-amp maker, and Artist and Iconic Song collections—deliver classic tones with all the rage, subtlety, sheen and roar you demand. If you have a fear of cookie-cutter tones, the Spider V 30 MkII amp provides enough flexibility to transform a basic hard rock sound into a fire-breathing dragon, clean timbres into galaxies of ambient textures, Britpop chimes into waterfalls of vibey shimmers and more. Whatever drives your creativity, the Spider V 30 MkII gets you there with all the ease or complexity that defines your individual musical mantra. Never settle. Own your tone.

Classic Speaker & Full-Range Modes

The new Classic Speaker mode provides more organic and authentic amp-to-speaker tones, while Full-Range Speaker mode is optimal for acoustic guitars and jam track playback.

Be More You

With 128 presets and more than 200 amps, cabinets and effects, your perfect tone awaits, whether you’re a conventional player or a blazing iconoclast. If you want to push the envelope even further, the free Spider V Remote app is always by your side to unlock more sounds, more possibilities and more inspiration. And it’s almost impossible to fall victim to creative shutdowns, because the Line 6 Custom Tone community is a click away to provide inspiration and share presets.

Use Your Feet

The Spider V 30 MkII is optimized for use with the optional Line 6 FBVTM 3 advanced foot controller, which lets you control your amps and effects without interrupting your performance. The foot controller makes it easy to jam at home and record parts into a computer, but it also ensures you can perform live like a pro. After all, the Spider V 30 MkII is not "just" a practice amp.

Do yourself a favor. Buy this product! Magic in a box! 10/10

I personally recommend this to anyone looking for an amp that'll produce almost any sound/effects you want all in one place! The sound quality is amazing! I wasted so much time and money on other brands amps and Floor pedals, etc. Please, do yourself a favor and go with Line 6 products! They make high quality products at an affordable price. I started using Line 6 products in 2007 and still have and use my Line6 Live-on-the-floor pedal to this day! I wouldn't waste my time writing this review if I didn't love this amplifier...Keep Rocking!

Fun at home. Not for performing.

I bought this amp at my local Guitar Center a few months back, while picking up a Les Paul. It was the display amp that I tested the Gibson on and it was fun. For this price point it's certainly not a terrible investment for someone looking to play at home and try different sounds. The problem with this amp is that every tone on it is very "fake" sounding. Higher end modeling amps give more true versions of the various sounds. This amp also produces nothing that sounds true to any instrument you are plugging into it. Every tone sounds the same regardless of whether you have a Telecaster or a Les Paul or a PRS plugged into it. The cleans are satisfactory and the reverb and delay can be played with to make a sound that is certainly acceptable. The distortion is bad. It's a very flat "computer-y" vibe, and that is just fine for a new guitarist/child/someone who doesn't actually care about tone/etc., but please do not attempt to use this amp outside of your home, for any sort of recording, or in front of strangers. PLEASE. There are tons of better modeling amps out there, and many at this same price point. You can snag a Positive Grid Spark amp for about the same cost, and it will actually produce sounds worthy of live performance and recording. Line 6 has been surpassed by nearly every other amplification company at this point, so my best advice is to look elsewhere. That being said, this amp is currently being used by my 10 year old (and his Jackson hair metal guitar) and he loves it. Maybe I'm just old.

It is a good sounding amp head with a ton of built in presets and effects. I could not get it to connect to my PC or Android phone, but it did have a lot of preset effect and amplifiers to choose from. One major complaint I had was the power switch being on the back of the unit, all of my setups have power switches on the front so we can back them in and still turn them on and off. Also, this combo has a speaker and a tweeter and it just does not sound right after a while

I wanted something simple and reliable. This is so much more. I have only been playing an acoustic for the past 15 years or so. I got the jones to learn the breakup song (Greg kihn band) on my dusty strat. Omg, the preloaded amp models are fantastic and you can get lost in them like a kid in a candy store but within 30 minutes I had a jangly reverb slightly dirty sound that was perfect for my goal.

Love the in amp tuner. My 9 year old shreds on it and can never miss a note with the in amp tuner. Great sound effects, awesome in amp drum loops to keep you on beat and jammin all night long. Signature sounds and wonderful FX to tweak up on the fly. I would highly recommend this amp for a beginner or advanced player! Line 6 has ALWAYS been my go to for years, lovely amp!

I heard the 30 watt version isn't looping capable. Is that true? Also what foot pedals are compatible?

    Open Reply - Beau
That's correct. The 30 watt version isn't looping capable but it would be compatible with the Line 6 FBV foot switch.
