Great for the Price
Can't really beat it for the price. The black plastic that makes up everything but the wood face is cheaper than it appears in the picture, but plenty strong and has a decent resonance. The plastic actually looks a little rough and worn around the corners of mine. Probably the cheapest full size you can find (especially when it's on sale so much). Mine didn't come with the same 'City' decal, though, but oh well.

Disappointed
Bought one in store. I should of taken it out of the box. I was jamming on it less then a few minutes the snare was not very distinct in sound so I was just looking around it seeing why it was not sounding correctly the bottom side had split on the wood I doubt was that the issue but I took it back. I returned it they had one shipped to my house they were out I opened that one up and the strip of wood that the snares were attached to fell off. So I went to the store and returned that one. Use it for playing at home. I will also use it to introduce my grandkids to music in a fun way.

I went to the GT store and tried many cajons and this one got me impressed. Not too snare sound (just enough) so perfect for my goal to use it a bass drum.
I would buy a larger cajon next time

Sound is nice once you find where to hit for different tones. I expected it a bit larger. Fine for practice &small gigs.
Does Exactly What I Needed!

I'm a percussionist in a trio, we play folk, Americana, and original tunes. I needed a smaller mid-range hand drum, and this cajon fit the bill.

I'm new to these, can you use any a kick pedal on any of these? I play acoustic guitar and would like to incorporate something like this.
No, it would not be detrimental to the cajon
