Description

The Kawai ES920 portable digital piano redefines what's possible in a lightweight, portable instrument. By combining the company's latest technological advancements, the ES920 faithfully recreates the unmistakable tone and expressive control of Kawai's world-renowned concert grand pianos. Whether you're a traveling performer seeking authentic grand piano tone, or a home hobbyist wanting an inspiring musical companion, the ES920 delivers a remarkably satisfying playing experience.

Keyboard Forged With Expert Craftsmanship
At the heart of the ES920 lies Kawai's revered Responsive Hammer III keyboard action. Utilizing high-precision engineering and premium components like wooden keys, this meticulously designed keybed recreates the finest details of a Kawai grand piano. As you strike the keys, you'll experience the same weight transfer and graded hammer movements found in the company's prestigious acoustic instruments. The simulated damper mechanism further enhances realism, allowing techniques like damper pedal resonance and half-pedaling. With the ES920, you command the same level of expression and nuanced control as a handcrafted grand.

Harmonic Imaging Renders Stunningly Lifelike Piano Tones
The ES920 doesn't just look and feel like a grand—it sounds like one too. Kawai's innovative Harmonic Imaging XL technology employs full harmonic resonance modeling to authentically reproduce all of the tonal nuances of a lavishly crafted concert grand piano. Harmonic Imaging captures every tonal detail, from deep low-end resonance and shimmering overtones to the way notes blend and ring out over time. Play complex chords, and you'll notice the rich, seamless harmonic interplay that brings the sound to life. Thanks to Harmonic Imaging, the ES920 delivers a richness and organic complexity that eludes typical sample-based digital pianos.

Onkyo-Designed Speakers Deliver Powerfully Immersive Sound
While most digital pianos rely on basic amplification, the ES920 features an advanced speaker system designed in collaboration with the renowned audio engineers at Onkyo. This system pairs powerful amplifiers with specialized speaker cones to reproduce the ES920's stunning tones with remarkable fidelity and projection. As you play, you're presented with a rich, resonant sound that envelops you like a real acoustic grand. When performing for an audience, the ES920's powerful speakers effortlessly fill the room with a grand-like presence. For a portable digital piano, the ES920 is astonishingly lifelike.

Intuitive Controls and Extensive Connectivity
Easy operation and versatile connectivity ensure the ES920 fits seamlessly into your creative workflow. An intuitive control panel with an OLED display puts every function at your fingertips, while dedicated 4-band EQ sliders let you contour the sound to your environment. Bluetooth MIDI and audio connectivity allows streaming audio and wireless communication with apps like Kawai's PianoRemote. Traditional MIDI I/O enables connecting keyboards, modules and drum machines. With its range of high-quality sounds, the ES920 is ready to inspire no matter where your music takes you.

For the pianist seeking the transcendent experience of a handcrafted Kawai grand in a supremely portable instrument, the ES920 digital piano is an exceptional choice. Its groundbreaking technology, premium action and breathtaking sound will elevate your music to new heights. Take your artistry to the next level with the Kawai ES920 portable digital piano.

I bought this high quality instrument because of its beautiful piano platform to play at home. The keyboard action is smooth and consistant with adjustable touch features. I'm not as fond of the string/choir tones but like the others. Also I have to jump a couple of hoops just to connect straight to my computer. But aparently midi will connect directly which I havent checked out yet.
Wonderful sound and action, limited variety of tones

There must have been something wrong with the one that the author of the review titled "Great piano, terrible speakers," wrote on Amazon, because they sound excellent to me. I am quite sensitive and I've been listening to classical music for more than 50 years. Don't be scared away by this claim about the speakers. While we are on the topic of the speakers, the amplifiers are great! The bass that is produced by these amplifiers and speakers (and, of course, the excellent samples) is one of the things that makes the Kawai ES920 far superior to my wonderful Casio CDP S360, regarding sound and action with piano, electric piano, organ, vibes, and strings. The only significant complaint I have had was the terrible odor from the piano during the first month or two after opening the package. I bought it when it first came out. The glue or some other toxic-smelling chemical must have been in the process of curing or drying. After a few months, I didn't smell it, anymore.

I do not think the stand or three pedal unit comes with this product or else I would pull the trigger and buy it. I think the displayed picture should be changed, it is misleading.
The stand and pedals are not included.
