Which Kali Speaker Should I Buy?

Which Kali Speaker Should I Buy?

Description

For the aspiring music maker looking for a professional solution to mix their music and reference their tracks, Kali Audio's LP-6 Lone Pine 6.5" powered studio monitors are an excellent tool. This monitor is designed to deliver transparent sound for creators working across all genres and features Boundary EQ settings to optimize the speaker's response depending on where it is placed in your room. An advanced waveguide, large voice coil and precision tuning this monitor will sound great in any space.

The LP-6 is designed so you can hear every detail of your mix. Nothing is boosted or suppressed to cover flaws in your tracks, so you will be able to mix with critical precision to mix with confidence and create incredible sounding finished productions. This detailed sound is, in a large part, owed to the monitor's 3-D Imaging Waveguide.

This Waveguide allows you to hear a 3D soundstage from a stereo pair of monitors. By Matching the shape of the waveguide to the interactions of the high and low-frequency drivers, this waveguide produces a stereo image that is wider, taller and deeper than the space where the speakers are placed. The LP-6 accomplishes this by ensuring that the speaker's reflected sound matches its direct sound. Every time you hear a loudspeaker, you're hearing both the direct sound from the speaker and reflections from the speaker's signal bouncing off of objects in the room.

When those reflections are congruent with the direct sound from the speaker, listeners perceive a better sound overall and are able to make out very subtle details like where microphones are placed in a room. When done well, the stereo image will be three-dimensional.

This gives users a very high degree of confidence in their mix. It allows them to mix faster, and produce better mixes overall.

Fantastic clean sound

Picked up a pair yesterday. These things are amazing: Clear, full, detailed without any coloration. In the sweet spot they really give you a full sound without having to push them too loud. For the money you can't do any better.

Nothing from 60 to 120-130Hz can be heard

It surprisingly has kick punch on the very lows, but no bass frequencies can be recognized from 60 to 120 Hz. Owned Adam with "cevlar" 6.5" driver and they played all the range down to 40-50 Hz. LP-6 have paper 6.5" driver. Clear crystal mids, good highs. But no use for me without bass freqs. Probably LP-8 are better.

I was upgrading my 3" monitors and the salesman at the desk mentioned these (used) and I heard all good things about them so I got em and ma'an can I say it was the best decision!! I am using them in a small room and these fill the room beautifully and sound absolutely amazing. I do not need a sub woofer as these project enough bass for my needs. They are so clean and crisp I am hearing parts of songs I never knew existed. Cannot beat them for the price !!

  • Took a chance, so happy I did!!

I had never heard of Kali speakers and didn't want to spend double the money for an equal set for the known brand. I took a chance on these Kali's and they have been absolutely amazing. These speakers THUMP with beautiful bass and crisp clarity on mid's and high's. I recommend these to anyone wanting a multi purpose speaker for your studio.

It was originally between these and the Adam Audio T7V speakers. I went with the T7V's due to the hiss complaints of the Lp-6. The T7V's really lack the bass I was use to and looking for and I actually went through several pairs of monitors (2 sets of T7V one set was defective, Rokit 7, Fluid FX80, Alpha 65 EVO, iLoud MTM) before deciding a little hiss isn't going to matter. Welp, I finally got them and… WHAT HISS?!?!?! I couldn't ask for a better monitor to replace my aging Rokit 6's. They have all the bass you could ask for in a speaker this size and in my opinion sound better than the T7V. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these speakers over just about anything under the $500 each price range.

Previously owned the Mackie CR5BT monitors and one monitor stopped working after about 1 year of use. Just bought a pair of these Kali LP6 and couldn't be happier with them. Great sound and much improved over the Mackies.

Dear guitar center team, I would like to know if the Kali Audio LP-6 power voltage is universal?, the voltage in my country which is Bahrain is 220v to 240v and not 120v like in the united states.

    Open Reply - Ronald
It won't be. You would have to find an adapter locally to use it.
