Description

KORG introduces the next in line to their popular volca series, the volca mix. volca mix is a 4-channel analog performance mixer that that lets you construct a live setup combining multiple volca units. This extremely compact, multi-function mixer is the ideal performance piece to complete your vocal setup. volca mix has easy to control volume faders, paired with crisp-sounding filter and a master chain that can radically transform your sound. In addition to the sync function found on all volcas, there are also DC output connectors that can supply power for up to three volca units. Numerous functions to facilitate your onstage volca performances have been packed into a high-quality aluminum-paneled body, reminiscent of a high-end DJ mixer.

    Nice compact sound for the Volca modules. Only limited to 3 of them without adding another mixer.

    The form and functionality of the volca mix are great. I have volcas FM, Kick, and Bass. I put those is a 2x2 arrangement and BOOM, its like one instrument with a zillion knobs and a single analog audio output. The problem is that the thing is too darn noisy. I get tons of hiss out of my Volca mix even when all the channel faders are all the way down and yet more hiss when they are up, even when there is no source connected to the channel inputs. I really wish the Volca mix wasn't so noisy because the features and interface are actually pretty nice.

    Small, compact but very useful. Start/Stop button helps you control more than one device at once. The sliders are nice and smooth. The aux send and receive come in handy when you need an additional effects chain. The ability to power additional Korg gear and eliminating the need for adapters is perfect for musicians on the go.
