Description

The Korg Pitchblack X pedal tuner was engineered to redefine tuning precision and visual clarity. Double the meter LEDs illuminate the enlarged display, allowing for improved visibility and ultra-high accuracy within ±0.1 cents. The Pitchblack X also debuts Korg's Ultra Buffer technology, which maintains signal integrity across extensive pedalboard setups and long cable runs.

Ultra-Bright Display and Ultra-Precise Tuning

The Pitchblack X's upgraded display employs a host of high-output LEDs to achieve unparalleled brightness, visual definition and tuning accuracy. Triangle LEDs flash when the pitch is matched, speeding up tuning. Four display modes—regular, strobe, half-strobe and mirror—accommodate any tuning situation from studio setups to onstage emergencies.

Ultra Buffer or True Bypass

The Pitchblack X with Korg's new Ultra Buffer, which preserves highs and lows across expansive pedalboards and lengthy cables. For purists, true bypass mode completely severs the tuner from the signal chain when inactive. Select between buffer or bypass to suit your needs.

    Extremely accurate and built to last. I have two Pitchblack tuners that have lasted for years now. They're far more precise than clip-ons, and the automatic mute/unmute function when tuning is super convenient. The true bypass works as advertised, and they've never failed me on stage or in the studio. Only minor gripe: Velcro doesn't always stick well to the bottom; the adhesive can come off when moving it between boards. Still, one of the best tuners out there.

    I've been using it for over a year now in a metal band playing locally. Overall it just works. Haven't had any reliability issues with it (which is actually why I'm writing this, I'm not sure what happened with the other 2 reviewers but it wasn't my experience and wanted to share a counterpoint). Overall, I find that it's easy to use and seems accurate enough to my ears. I prefer it to the headstock tuners and to a headrush pedalboard's tuner that I have access to.

    I bought the predecessor to this pedal and it broke inside of six months, they sent me this pedal to replace it and it broke inside of three months. Never buying another Korg tuner.

    I bought this tuner and used it for less than a year when it broke. The company sent me a replacement and that one broke in just three months.
