Machine Head's Phil Demmel Introduces the Jackson Signature Demmeltion Pro Fury Models | Jackson

Jackson

Description

For more than 15 years, lead guitarist Phil Demmel contributed his hard-hitting, lightning-fast licks to thrash-and-groove metal outfit Machine Head. As Demmel forges ahead to his next chapter, he'll be well-armed with the all-new Pro Series Signature Demmelition Fury PDT - an affordable no-holds-barred metal axe that can hang with everything Demmel throws its way.

The Pro Fury PDT is loaded with distinguished features including a mahogany offset body, one-piece through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint, and a 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid piranha tooth inlays.

EMG 81 and 60 humbucking pickups provide a detailed intensity of thick mids and big lows with soaring high ends. The 81 bridge pick up cuts through the densest leads, while the 60 neck pickup provides your heaviest playing with harmonic clarity.

This axe also features dual volume knobs, three-way toggle switch, Jackson TOM-style adjustable string-through-body bridge, Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons and Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock. A fearsome beast built for mayhem, the Pro Fury PDT is draped in a stark Snow White finish with a black pickguard and black hardware. Case sold separately.

The minute I plugged it in I fell in love with this guitar. The features are amazing. It comes with EMG 81/60. The tone os unmistakably metal. One of the best things about this slick guitar is the EMG 81 pickup. When you play rhythm guitar the chugging is phenomenal. The rhythm is tight as a snare drum. Leads are effortless. It has a very retro look harkening back to the 1970's. It also comes with a compound radius fret board. Need I say more metal heads.

  • Wonderful Product except for just one issue

If you're an avid metalhead like me and need a guitar that rips, this guitar really is quite high up on that list! I think the only problem that can be found with this guitar is that is a LOT of neck dive. If you're trying to play and stand, then you will be fighting it a little bit to keep it upright. I'm sure with a little counterweight this can be fixed but other than that, AMAZING GUITAR!

  • This is a great guitar, 100% worth the price

The duel emg pickups are perfect for 80's metal tones, and play wonderfully. They are advertised wrong in this post, they are in fact active pickups. This is one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played, with great upper fret access.

Picked this guitar up about a year ago. Out of the box the action was too springy and high. Had it set-up to "shred specs" with low action. From that point its been a FLAME THROWER. The neck is fast and easy to navigate. It does have the typical explorer "nose dive" issue but its no big. The active EMG's scream. Harmonics are easy and clear. By far the best guitar I've ever owned. I have an Epi Explorer and Jackson Dinky, and gave away a Gibson Les Paul Standard to my nephew. Those guitars do not compare in both punch and playability. If you rock hard/shred this guitar will NEVER let you down. Highly recommended.

can you take the pick guard off and if you can is it just white underneath?

1)Yes you can. 2) Yes it is but it will be marked up from removing the guard. The paint wasn't hard when it was put on.

    How much does it weigh?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.0 lbs

What are the specific dimensions of this axe? I'm looking for a case, but I need the exact details. Thank you kindly!

I believe the SKB Hardshell Guitar Case for Gibson Explorer/Firebird-Type Guitars would be the recommended case for this guitar. Otherwise, an Explorer gig bag would also work.
