The Dinky body is paired with a sturdy graphite-reinforced bolt-on 3-piece maple/walnut/maple neck, featuring a hand-rubbed oil finish on the back for greater playing comfort and a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel for painless neck relief tweaks. The neck is comfortable, the bare knuckle pickups sound incredible, and it looks sleek and classy in person. Jackson really nailed it with this one. My only critique is that the factory setup wasn't great. There was some noticeable fret buzz. But it only took a new set of strings and about 15 mins of adjustments to get it playing how I like it. If you're looking for a premium 7 string but you don't want to spend 2 grand, look no further. Especially if you're comfortable doing your own setups. Even if not, any local luthier can set it up for you and then you've still saved hundreds of dollars compared to other guitars with the same specs. Highly recommend this axe and I'd buy it again!
