Description

The JS Series Dinky Minion JS1X is a revolutionary electric guitar designed to inspire. At just 2/3 the scale of a full-size guitar, its 22.5" length is perfect for smaller hands or frequent flyers who need a portable practice axe. Don't let its size fool you—this Dinky is built to wail. A lightweight poplar body and sculpted heel provide comfort and access to the highest frets. The bolt-on maple neck is reinforced for stability and topped with an amaranth fingerboard featuring 24 jumbo frets and sharkfin inlays for silky playability.

High-Output Pickups Deliver Versatile Tone

A pair of Jackson high-output humbuckers crank out a wide range of tones. The neck pickup delivers bright, articulate highs while the bridge pickup adds a big dose of crunchy distortion. Shape your sound with the three-way toggle switch and dedicated volume and tone controls. From crystal-clear cleans to molten metal, this Dinky has the voice to match your mood.

Superior Intonation and Sustain

The JS Series Dinky Minion JS1X features a string-through-body hardtail bridge with block saddles that improves intonation and enhances sustain. Each note rings loud and true, with a resonance you can feel through the neck.

Pointed Headstock and Sealed Tuners

An ultrastable, rear-angled headstock allows for even string tension and tuning stability. Jackson sealed die-cast tuners keep your axe sounding pitch-perfect through the most demanding performances.

This is the first guitar I wish I had.

This thing rips and feels great. The absolute best of all the student size electric guitars I tried at several stores in terms of quality. If your child is learning, it will not hinder their ability to learn in any way if you have it properly set up. And yes, any new guitar should have a setup done. Put some new strings on it, at least 10 gauge, lube the nut, set intonation and action properly, and it will stay in tune pretty well. This guitar punches above its price point, I wonder if Jackson makes any money on these at all. As an adult, I even enjoy playing it!

BEGINNERS BEWARE: This guitar is terrible!

Dont own this guitar but found this in my local guitar center including a V and this model. Tried both and the neck felt really bad. Fret ends were really scratchy and hurt my hand when trying to play. Fret board and frets themselves were really scratchy and the pickups sounded bad

    I bought this for my sister for her 10th birthday and she loves it, and it is a pretty good starter guitar. It's a bit more sparkly in person, but it sounds decent, comfortable neck shape, comfortable bridge, and smooth fretboard

    I've only been playing for 4 months and I will say the neck is narrow so if your fingers aren't skinny you will struggle muting other strings when playing chords. I only use the guitar to play licks or power chords since it's easy to play with my fingers.

    I bought this guitar purely for practice in bed before i sleep and couch play. I needed a chea short scale guitar with decent features. This checks every box. So much so im going to slap a seymour duncan '59 in the neck pickup slot to make it one of my go to guitars! 5* for what it is!

    The size and low price of this guitar are the only good things about it. Multiple quality issues plague this guitar. Fret buzz, terrible intonation midway/high on the neck, cheaply wired internals, faintness on the pickup switch, and sharp frets are a few reasons to stay away.

    Bought this for my 9yr old and it sounds huge. I play it thru my boogie and it's a riot. Great small guitar. Could use some better tuners but the pickups are surprisingly good.
