JBL
Description
This professional floor monitor is plenty to handle any typical onstage monitoring application, from twin guitar rock with a loud drummer where clear and present volume is most important to densely layered folk harmony where pitch discernment is critical. The STX815M is a high wattage-handling wedge monitor box with a ported baffle, 8 ohm 15" LF driver and a loud, clear HF horn driver.
It is a lightweight two-way system designed to function as a high-power handling, FOH loudspeaker system as well its tremendous capacity as an extended range floor monitor. It offers an extremely high level of performance either ground, pole or stand mounted. A 70-degree by 70-degree coverage angle provides focused control.

I am pleased with my STX815m speakers. I love their unique, amazing clarity and punch. These should be considered for experienced players, or professional use, because they are expensive ; however, as in my case, I love performing and playing often, so I invested in these with no regrets at all. I own a pair of 812m s as well, and consider both pairs of JBLs a good investment for my solo playing. The power handling is amazing, as well as the sound quality. The 815s seem to have a bigger sound, but the 812ms are amazingly portable, for smaller gigs. Both, are a great investment for years to come. I realize you can buy less expensive sound gear, but you will not get the same sound, especially in the clarity. Members of my audiences are constantly sharing with me how they can clearly hear my vocals and they enjoy that. I've owned a lot of JBL speakers, in my lifetime, and the STX815m, and 812m are the best I've had to this date. It is easy to get a "loud" sound, but to get a great sound, not only on stage, but out to your audience is a challenge. The STX speakers have minimal feedback issues, and singing thru them seems effortless. I honestly have found I don't have to play as loud because the clarity is there, unlike other speakers. Yes, I will admit, I paid more for these speakers, but it is an investment I am happy with.
