I've played my Les Paul thru it, my classical/electric thru it, sang thru it & listened to YouTube thru it. This EON is incredible. The 8" speakers put out ear-piercing 300 watts of sound. Plenty for any backyard party or indoor party. The setting which includes reverb balance it all for any tone you want. Even though you can play your electric axe thru it, the EON is not designed for this. The Les Paul sounded too bright, even after adjusting the EQ settings. You can get by if you need a quick plug-in to work on a song with out plugging into another amp. Each channel has its own settings. The EON is very portable & snaps together nicely in a suitcase-style fashion, making it easy to carry, set up & take down. The headphone input is nice & puts out great sound, just like the speakers. I keep the mixer & speakers apart in the bedroom for solitude practicing & listening to YouTube. Then, I just snap it all together & go. when I discovered this had Bluetooth, I was sold right there! You can play along with any song thru your mobile device. The Bluetooth does not interfere with my XViVe U2 wireless transmitter & receiver. Vocally, the sounds are awsum, too. The accompanying AKG vocal mic works brilliantly! The speakers have a 38mm pole socket for mounting onto speaker poles for maximum outreach. They're also light enough to sit on any cabinet or table. The 2 speaker cables, wall cable, AKG mic & mic cord all fit in a nice, stow-away compartment behind the mixer. Bottom line: I recommend this for any singer-songwriter, DJ, or party host. The price is worth it with the Bluetooth capability.

I use this setup on my Lanai, My neighbors must either love me or hate me.. They sound great, plenty of base without a sub. I love that I can pack them up in 5 minutes and take them anywhere. I did purchase a nice set of stands (TS100B Air-Powered Speaker Stand ) and better speaker cables

The sound quality on this little system is excellent. It's very clean and clear and has a decent low end for 8" speakers. If you want to complete the sound, I do recommend a powered sub. I just connected one from a home theater setup and it sounds Awesome, but recommend a powered stage sub if you're serious. It's not going to rock out a big venue, but will provide plenty if you're playing in a band or semi-small crowd. The unit comes with an AKG mic with on/off switch (sounds great!), mic cable, two speaker cables. The included mic and build in reverb on the channel gives one of the best vocal sounds I've had in a while w/out having other equipment. I ran my Boss GT-1 guitar pedal into channel 5&6 and it sounds EXCELLENT. This system reproduces the same sound from my pedal as I get with headphones on, which is what I wanted. When you play and practice, you expect it to sound like you've been hearing it, not modified by an amp's effects. This makes jamming easy! Grab this compact unit, stands, guitars and you're set! This would have received 5 stars, but one of the speakers had a buzz that I couldn't get to go away, while the other was crystal clear. I took it back to Guitar Center and they are sending me a new one. That is my only negative comment, otherwise Great mobile system.

Cool concept! Easy set up! Not enough volume. I knew it wasn't for a big venue but expected more!

The JBL EON208P is a portable PA system with 300 watts of power (2 x 150W to the stereo speakers), and it's great for small to medium-sized indoor spaces. Whether it's powerful enough for a gym or banquet hall depends on a few factors: When It Can Work: Banquet halls (small to medium-sized): If you're doing background music, speeches, acoustic performances, or light vocals, it should hold up just fine. Gyms (small to medium): For announcements or low-volume music (like yoga or workshops), it can work. Audience size: Up to about 100 people with moderate volume. Limitations: Large gyms or echoey spaces: Might struggle with clarity or volume, especially for music with bass. Louder performances (like full bands or dance music): It will likely not have the headroom or bass response. Coverage: The smaller speakers may not fill large spaces evenly. Elevate the speakers (on stands) to improve projection. Keep volume levels under control to avoid distortion. Consider adding a powered subwoofer if you're missing low-end. If you're doing gigs where you're trying to fill a large gym or big banquet hall with music or vocals that need to cut through, the JBL EON208P might not be quite enough — something like the JBL Eon One, Eon 612s, or EV ZLX/ELX series would be a better fit.
