JBL

collapse expand iconDescription

The JBL EON ONE Compact is a revolutionary all-in-one PA system that delivers studio-quality sound in a package designed for maximum portability. Despite weighing just 17.6 lb., the EON ONE Compact packs a 4-channel mixer, Bluetooth connectivity and a 12-hour rechargeable battery into its compact frame. JBL is thrilled to introduce this innovative solution for singers, emcees, presenters and anyone looking to amplify their voice with professional results.

4-Channel Mixer With Bluetooth Connectivity

The built-in 4-channel mixer gives you control over vocals, instruments and audio playback with independent volume control for each channel. Connect microphones, guitars, keyboards and more for a customized mix. Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream audio from your mobile device and even use the free JBL Compact Control app to adjust settings and effects in real time.

Premium Effects and Processing

Lexicon and dbx-inspired effects bring a professional studio sound to any performance. Choose from presets like "Warm Vocals" or "Percussive Bass" and customize the EQ, reverb and compression to suit your needs. The ducking feature automatically lowers background music volume when speech input is detected, ideal for presentations, fitness instruction and events.

12-Hour Rechargeable Battery

The EON ONE Compact runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 12 hours of continuous use per charge. For non-stop performance, you can swap in a spare battery and recharge the depleted one for unlimited runtime. The battery also makes the system completely cable-free for the ultimate in portability.

Ultralightweight and Compact

Weighing just 17.6 lb., the EON ONE Compact is the lightest, most portable all-in-one PA JBL has ever designed. Its compact frame fits easily into the included carrying case for transport and storage. For singers and presenters on the go, this revolutionary system delivers studio-quality sound without sacrificing portability.

Bought for several outdoor events where power was a problem

Needed help with several outdoor events (weddings, temporary church service outdoor) where we knew power had been a problem in previous years. This unit ended up being louder than I expected; when I can fit it in the budget I will grab another for more even coverage. Lots of reviews look like folks are having trouble getting through the instructions; but yes you CAN adjust the effects independently for each channel -- but I think you need the mobile app to get to that. But the app is FANTASTIC... there is even a demo mode so if you want to download it and try before you buy this go grab it for your phone or iPad. The long battery life is what tipped me off the fence; I never have to worry about whether we have enough juice for the duration of an event. If there is a 'con', it would be that the bass end is really strong, and I've had to compensate (again, in the app) by adjusting the EQ -- which can be done for the overall mix, and on individual channels! An improvement for future models might be to have an XLR line-out rather than the quarter-inch output; if I tie two of these together I will probably just use an inexpensive passive DI before 50'+ of XLR cable. I wasn't able to discern from the documentation whether this output is balanced or not, so I'm assuming it's not.

Been a fan of JBL for a while. This speaker, not so much.

Owned this product for about a month in December 2020. Sounds fine but had some major issues. The main problem is that much of the functionality of this speaker is tied in to the app. I consistently had issues in multiple areas with the app. To get the most of the speaker it has to be EQd, depending on the situation. Here the app failed miserably. I would set the EQ and save the settings, but the app refused to keep the settings. It would randomly disconnect and repeated attempts to reconnect would fail until finally, at some point, it would connect again. Once reconnected, EQ would reset and since settings wouldn't really save, it had to be manually EQd every single time. It was impossible to maintain a consistent sound. I also had some issues with the halo lights used to indicate gain/volume. Sometimes they made sense (100% full halo meant 100% volume). Other times it made no sense (70% full halo meant 100% volume). This speaker has potential, but until the firmware/app are fixed, it's just a pain to use.

I'm a singer song writer and i use this speaker to do small live gigs in my apartment and around town. It's compact, easy to use, and sounds great! Also, amazing that it can be used with battery power for up to 12 hours of performance! I can't recommend it enough. It also has some nice reverb so it cuts out the need for a mixer, making it even more efficient and easy. #sweepstakes

sounded good at home when setting it up. Got to my first wedding with it and it sounded like a tin can. Very confusing with the mixer aspect as well.

As a wedding DJ I needed a small speaker with bluetooth, mic input, and battery power for outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. This speaker fits the bill. Sleek look, lightweight, with full mixer built in. The battery last 12 hours, and the JBL app gives me total control from my iPad.

I had an Eon One Pro, sold it and bought the Eon MK2 and one of these Eon Compacts. Both were not simple to connect and get sound out of using an Apple iPhone 12 Max. I think the JBL app complicates things. After I installing the app and checking for a software update, I couldn't get sound out of the speaker. I had to restart my phone. Using an XLR cable and iPhone adapter, the bass is weak and if I try to increase it, the bass bottoms out and clips. I wasn't expecting room shaking bass like out of a dedicated sub, but this speaker system left me a bit disappointed. I would have liked an RCA input as well.

It's too bad that replies can't be made to some of the reviews because a few of the contentions made are incorrect. Concerning the problem with the on-off button not working, that is probably due to the poster not realizing that it's being a digital rather than a mechanical switch; it must be pressed and held for several seconds for it to operate. Also, a reviewer's claim that the effects cannot be separately applied to channels is pimply incorrect Affects can be applied separately to all channels through the free app. You just have to know how the app works, but once you do, it is easy to apply and adjust the effects.
