Although I'm a TV audio technician I've only recently set up a DAW for home projects. I've owned several JBL products and all of them are still kicking. When the 306 went on sale I knew it was time to give my borrowed Adam A7 back and try my own monitors. A couple dipswitch settings to acclimate them to my desk and voila! As full, balanced and colorless a playback as you could hope for at this price! Very satisfied.

I use the JBL's for mixing my tracks and to listen to music from my Mac Pro. I have them running through an Apogee ONE unit and they sound great.

I use these in my home studio/rehearsal space. They're great for when I'm learning new music and I need to hear the feed over my drums. When the rest of the guys are with me in the studio, I take direct feeds from their amps, run them through my mixing board and kick it back out into the room for them through these monitors.

I had connected the pair to my dj gear and both had sounded nice with bass.

Will a pair of these be loud enough to play the drums along with? I'm used to 150w spider line6amp. If these are not, what about the 8inch? I feel these would be fine. Thank you
