Ibanez

Description

The Ibanez RG Iron Label RGRTB621 electric guitar was originally designed for metal and nothing but metal in mind. Purposefully spartan and blacked-out, it's possibly the heaviest-hitting guitar from Ibanez ever. Loaded with DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers, you'll experience powerful, distinctive tones with crisp highs and a tight, compressed bottom end—without a muddy midrange. The dyna-MIX 10 wiring system offers 10 sonic variations. Activate coil-splitting with the Alter witch, or power Tap mode for realistic single-coil sounds.

The wing body is made from nyatoh, a tropical tonewood with a rich, mid-low end. Shredders will find that the Nitro Wizard 5-piece maple/walnut neck is tailor-made for fast play. Jumbo frets contribute to playing ease, especially for single-note solos. The fretboard is ebony, matching the finish.

Ibanez pairs Gotoh tuners with a Mono-rail bridge for exceptional tuning stability, precise intonation adjustment and rock-solid reliability.

Case sold separately.

Best guitar in general I have ever owned. The ability to split pickups and the tonal changes make this the best guitar in general and for metal I have ever played. If you want to play metal from AC/DC to Metallica and EVH etc etc it does it all well. If you want to play Trower and Hendrix yes go single neck and it will get you in the ball park. Just a wonderful instrument.

  • Great guitar, but there is a tuner issue…

A lot of people have been saying they cannot get larger string gauges on. For some reason the tuners are installed reversed (the 3 tuners for the larger wound strings are so low, you cannot get the string through the hole). All it took was to remove the tuners and reinstall them with the 3 higher post tuners for the larger strings. An easy 2 minute job.

  • Great tone but can't drop tune

I bought the guitar with heavy metal in mind. Any set of strings thicker than 10-46 won't go through the tuners for the strings 4-6. I asked CS and they told me I should be able to but after buying two of the same I gave up. I still have one because I like the tone tho.
