Ibanez

Description

The Artwood Series, which includes this AW54OPN solid top dreadnought acoustic, was crafted to produce a traditional yet modern guitar. Technology moves forward at a frantic pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In producing the Artwood Series, Ibanez has respected both the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in their continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.

The AW54OPN Artwood solid top dreadnought acoustic-electric features their popular dreadnought body shape, a solid okoume top, okoume neck, back and sides, and a nyotah neck with a laurel fingerboard, and bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The open-pore natural finish shows off the guitar's naturally rich woodgrain. Finally, the AW54OPN is finished off with a tortoiseshell pickguard and chrome die-cast tuners.

This should cost 3x as much

I picked this up a few days ago in store. I'm honestly blown away that this is available at this price point. It honestly plays like an 800 dollar martin. it's loud. it's crisp/bright. it has depth/bass almost like a jumbo body. it's light. the action is killer. no buzzing. tuing pegs work good, so far no major tuning issues. intonation is pretty good. The usual slightly sharp on the 3rd fret stuff that most acoustics have the fretboard leaves a bit to be desired... and is my only gripe. it feels a bit 'plastic'. My BCRich AE felt the same way when i first got it, and a few rounds of lemoil and its good now so i'm going to try to do the same thing there. If this is your budget, there really is not other option (unless you want the cut-a-way model)

Lemon?

I must've got a clunker. It sounds bad, and has dead spots all over the fretboard. Finish is meh. Some slight cosmetic issues. About to return.

Finish and sound are great, very full and rich. Best in its price range and better than many 2 or 3 times the cost.

Had this Ibanez afor one year now. This things sound just as good as my Martin d18 ) hd35 ) Eastman e10SS V ) and even better than a couple more higher end guitars. This is the only guitar a person needs. Heck! The tax on most of guitars was more than the price of this one. I'am being honest as I can be. Try oneone

This is an acoustic guitar. It doesn't connect to an amp.
