Love this Guitar!

I am advancing as a player and wanted a smaller full sized Guitar to replace my Dreadnought Junior. It had to have 1 3/4" nut like the Martins. They almost don't exist in the lower price category. I did a good bit of research on it and discovered the AC 240's and 340's from Ibanez. I liked the look of the 340's binding and trim better than the 240 and the bridge and bridge plate are torrified. The 240 had grover tuners but that could be remedied if I wasn't happy with the one's on it. My local GC had a 340 in stock so I had to investigate. This thing rocks! Well built, Light weight with good construction. It is a blues machine. The neck is very similar to the Dreadnought Jr.'s with wider string spacing and great playabilty. I keep it in my office to practice and for lessons.Very resonant. Very comfortable size. The tuners were fine but not as smooth as grovers. I installed a pair of mini's for $40 and have the perfect guitar for me

Not a good guitar for me

I bought this guitar from Guitar Center, and it was shipped to my local GC store. I was looking for a "banger" guitar to keep in my office, and maybe to use for lessons. I've long been curious about smaller bodied guitars and wider nut (I play a Martin D35 which has a somewhat narrow nut). I bought the Ibanez sight unseen based on the other reviews. My impression of it is quite different. I took it home and played it a bit. Overall it felt cheap (and very dry). I did not like the sound (almost no low end and very tinny). I returned it the next day. The best thing about the experience was how easy GC made the return. And What I learned was: I will not buy a guitar without playing it first. Oh the wider nut seemed no different, which surprised me.

    Just playing with family and friends. I'm nowhere near a great player. It sounds good to me, but everyone ear is different. So stop by their store pick one up and Listen for yourself.

    this thing sounds Amazing. Setup out of the box was a really good in between high and low. I played some other much more expensive guitars. Honestly this one just kept calling my name. The tone. The feel/strings it comes with. Top notch for a steal. Time will tell how it holds up.

    I love this guitar. To me the wider nut is more comfortable. However, I did replace the tuners with Grover 305c because the dang thing just would not keep a tune. The Grover's STAY in tune, love them. The opening for the tuners in headstock was 10mm. I bough a "Gator Economy Gig Bag Classical Guitar" that fits it like a glove.

    First guitar, but I know music and can be bougie. A little over my budget but well worth going over. Maybe only one other cheaper guitar came close to this one but it plays and looks gorgeous and my brother who's passionately played over 10 years agrees. Definitely best guitar for $.
