THE BEST MIXER NEAR THE PRICE RANGE!

No disrespect to Yamaha or Mackie, but this mixer (at half the price) CAN keep up! I pushed it pretty hard for 2-hours (minus soundcheck) and it held up nicely! I'm sure someone who owns an Allen & Health analog or a Soundcraft analog will go on and on about how their 10-channel is superior to this 14-channel (that's becuase they paid twice the price for less inputs!). I'm saying give it a shot.... Guitar Center has an excellent return policy if it doesn't work out for you. I am 100% satisfied!

FX gave out 2 years in with gentle care

This 14 channel mixer was great for the first 23 months. Used it about 15 times; stored properly and moved around in foam lined metal case. Then the FX gave out--completely dead for no reason. Thankfully I purchased 24 month Pro Coverage from GC. Same thing happened to previous mixer--a 10 channel Alto. Guess I need to go with Yamaha or Mackie. Also, for live sound, your band will soon outgrow this mixer, not only because you will need more inputs with multiple singers and micing drums, but because there is only one monitor output, so you cannot vary the mix across multiple monitor speakers. Also, no mute or solo feature per input. Would probably be fine for a home studio. For a typical band playing live, you will need more features.

Overall, this mixer is great. Having owned it for 2 years, I can safely say that is a nice mixer. It is good for rehearsals, but you can outgrow this mixer easily. If you are playing big live shows where you'll need to mic drums, then this isn't for you. There are a few issues... the first problem is one I experience more frequently than the rest... randomly there is a hum that will go through my speakers, even with nothing plugged into it. It stays in the same location in the same outlet, sometimes it's there sometimes it isn't, and there is no way to get rid of it when it's there. 2... the effects randomly die. I don't know why but they just do. I've found the way to fix is to unplug and plug it back in. I would shut it off with the power switch or button but wait! Problem 3, there is no power switch/button. May I ask why? I don't plan to have this on all of the time... even the most basic electronic items have this feature... except things like refrigerators... And that has every excuse not to have a power switch! Include one next time. It makes having an ADJ power strip where I can turn off individual outlets all the more pleasing... With those 3 issues out of the way, it is a great mixer. Very easy to use and intuitive.

I wanted to get a newer mixer and not spend a lot. I have other Harbinger products that work great. I was disappointed when I hook up my iPad to play my backing track and got a lot of cracking. I had to turn the gain way down and struggled to get a decent volume and sound from my iPad. Everything else sounded great through it so I'm not sure what is up with the iPad.

  • So far so good

Not to impressed with the effects so far. They don't seem to be very robust, but I need to work with it a little more. Maybe more tweaking will yield better results.🤞Surprised that the manufacturer couldn't afford to put an on/off switch on this unit. 🤔

  • Great buy. Good product.

We needed a dedicated channel for monitors and that single aux channel was exactly what we were looking for. Being able to pick and chose from our 6 mics and have an adjust for each Mic in the mix was great. That was the main reason for upgrading. Happy as can be.

Can multiple channels be recorded as individual tracks?

USB mixers typically only send out the stereo signal of Main Mix. This mixer is no exception to that.

Can I turn on phantom power for two mics, and run the others without phantom power? I would like to mic my drum kit. 5 dynamic mics with no phantom, and two overhead condenser mics with phantom. Can I do that? I would greatly appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks.

    Open Reply - Charles
The phantom power should not affect the microphones that do not require it.

Does it come with the USB Cable to attach to the PC?

This does not, however, USB cables are relatively inexpensive. One option would be the following: Livewire Essential USB 2.0 Data Cable 5 ft. Black
