Guild

Description

The F-2512E Maple combines two of Guild’s most iconic specialties: twelve-string and jumbo guitars. With their large, rounded bodies, jumbo acoustic guitars have been Guild’s forte since 1954; combining this shape with the ever-popular 12-string construction results in a full-toned, impressively voiced acoustic instrument. Built with a solid spruce top, maple sides and arched maple back, the F-2512E Maple has the bright, jangly tone characteristic of Guild’s 12-string guitars. The F-2512E Maple also features Guild’s signature arched back design, which allows for great volume and projection, long sustain, and a lush, full sound. It's also equipped with Guild’s Fishman-designed AP-1 electronics, a pau ferro fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, pearl rosette, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard and a satin polyurethane finish. This antique sunburst model is exclusively available at Guitar Center.

Very pleased and surprised with my purchase!

I've lost track of how many twelve string guitars that I've purchased in recent years, most of them Taylors, because I'm fond of the brand, it's quality and sound. Problem was I'd end up not playing them enough, because I'd use them only for certain songs during my gigs, songs that I could easily play on my six strings. So, I'd end up trading in or selling my twelve strings and go with none, until I decided to try a less expensive guitar, one that I played only when I needed it. After looking at several brands, I settled on this Guild F-2512E. My local Guitar Center in Johnson City, NY had one in stock, and after playing it on several visits, decided that it fit perfectly to what I was looking for. Bottom line, it surpassed my expectations for its price. It's a quality instrument, with great sound and it's beautiful! No question, it's a large body guitar, but it's very easy to play. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a twelve, especially someone who's never played one before because it's so easy to play.

Didnt come with deluxe gig bag.

I received the guitar today in the mail and it didnt come with a deluxe gigbag although it says in the specs that it comes with it..i called customer service and they told me that its just an error in their listing.. the strings that came with it is already rusting.. The guitar looks nice except for the binding on the neck which looks like cheap plastic..

I love jamming on this, the sound is unlike any 6 string, and outclasses the few 12 strings i played when selecting this one. It has a rich dark sound that i'm always looking for in my songwriting. It has incredible reverb and volume, and will fill up the mix in any recording i do. Got it scratch and dent, but the sound was completely unaffected, making this an incredible steal. However, i will not be taking it to any shows. My only issues are that because of the size, which is expected because it's a 12 string, i have issues playing bar chords. However i expect that hurdle to go away after some time. #sweepstakes

Live playing this guitar. It has a deep full sound. If there is anything negative it would be the availability of finding a case for it. It's a little bit longer than most dreadnaughts so you are very limited in the cases you can use

This is my first go at a 12 string. I am an intermediate beginner? I have large hands and I immediately love this guitar. The action is low and it plays easier than my Eastman and Washburn 6 strings. Haven't used the electronics yet. Sounds great as an acoustic.

I just bought this guitar. Open the box, tune it up and it played with ease then I plugged it in and was very pleased. With the sound. I wanted the guitar tech at guitar center in Monroeville, PA to check it out to see if it needed any adjustments, I didn't think it did but since I was there I figured what the heck. He looked at it, measured the action. Checked it All over and handed it back to me and said that's a beautiful guitar I agreed. Bottom line looks great. Plays great! Sounds great.

  • I would buy again
