Description

The Guild A-20 Bob Marley dreadnought acoustic guitar is an homage to the legendary "One Love" singer and his enduring musical legacy. This premium dreadnought acoustic guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top, and mahogany back and sides, for a rich, balanced tone perfect for reggae rhythms and beyond, and a comfortable C-shape neck, making it ideal for beginners and pros alike. As Bob Marley's guitar of choice, the A-20 dreadnought helped define the sound of reggae music. Now you can experience that iconic tone and be a part of music history with this tribute model.

Solid Tonewoods Produce a Warm, Balanced Tone

The Guild A-20 Bob Marley dreadnought is crafted from premium, FSC-certified tonewoods, including a solid Sitka spruce top, paired with mahogany back, sides and neck. This popular tonewood combination delivers a warm, balanced tone with pronounced mids and a low end that suits reggae, folk, rock and pop styles. The solid top also means the soundboard will open up and improve with age, giving you an instrument that sounds better over time.

Comfortable Neck

While the Guild A-20 Bob Marley dreadnought has a traditional dreadnought shape, it also features a comfortable C neck shape that makes it easy for for beginners to grip and reach all frets comfortably, and should be familial for seasoned performers. It has a 1-3/4" nut width and a 25-1/2" scale so chording and single-note runs are a breeze. The pau ferro fretboard features stylish dot inlays and a 16" radius for smooth playability up and down the neck.

Authentic Bob Marley-Inspired Aesthetic

The Guild A-20 Bob Marley dreadnought has an earthy, organic vibe that captures Bob Marley's Rastafarian spirit. In fact, Guild partnered with non-profit organization One Tree Planted, who will plant a tree for every Marley guitar the company produces. So, when you buy this guitar, you can know there's a tree out there in your guitar's honor. The dreadnought body also features Marley's facsimile signature on the pickguard, his last name inlaid on the fretboard. Not only do you get a guitar, but you also get a premium Marley X Guild gig bag made from recycled nylon with his lion logo and signature prominently displayed. An included booklet shares the history of Marley’s Guild Madeira, family stories, the inside scoop on the creation of the A-20 Marley, and official chords for one of Bob Marley’s biggest hits. Guild also tosses in three custom guitar picks with a lion and Guild G-Shield in gold ink and an exclusive poster featuring Bob Marley and his original Guild.

Fantastic Guitar, especially for the price

By now I'm sure most people have seen the infamous DJ Khalid video. Needless to say that his tone deaf display (both literal and metaphorical) does not do this guitar justice. I pick this instrument up yesterday from my local Guitar Center, and I have been floored by the tone and depth of sound from it. Action is smooth and very easy to play. The only draw back is that it is a purely acoustic instrument. There is not preamp or pickup, so if you want to play this instrument professionally it would either need to be mic-ed (I don't know how to spell it) or a sound hole pick up would need to be installed. Very happy with this addition to my guitar collection...I have a problem, don't judge.

I am a beginner. Maybe this guitar is for advanced

This guitar was not what I expected for almost $400.00. Maybe if it came set up better it might have sounded better.

My Guild A-20 Marley is hands down one of the best guitars I've ever played. It's a light guitar with great resonance and very comfortable playability. I could not ask for better. I'm just glad that I own one. It's a keeper.

Perfect size for someone with smaller hands. Easy to play and it has nice tone. Good deal and worth taking a look at, especially if you are a Bob Marley fan.

This acoustic guitar sounds sweet. Its smaller size fits me well and is fairly easy to play. It is the lightest guitar I've ever played. Like the fact that it comes with a nice case.

  • Lovely tone and comfortable to play.

The Marley branding is subtle and tasteful, and I was really surprised at how nice a tone this guitar has for the price. The action felt good right off the showroom floor and the satin finish makes the guitar very pleasant to glide up and down the neck. The neck itself is a very comfortable shape that, as a new electric player, makes me feel right at home when trying acoustic for the first time.

  • Amazing sound, easy to play

Do all of these guitars purchased new from guitar center come with the gif bag? Because I purchased one at the concord location and when I asked if it came with a case I was told that it did not. Also when I got it home and began playing it for a week it started buzzing real bad now the string does not ring at all at many frets. Is this something that should be fixed free of charge?
