Gibson Generation Collection | Hear More of You

Description
The Gibson Generation Collection G-45 acoustic guitar, equipped with Gibson's revolutionary Player Port, allows you to hear your guitar as the audience does for an immersive playing experience. Its solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut body provide a crisp yet resonant tone that sounds full and balanced. The G-45's slightly thinner, rounded shoulder body was designed with comfort in mind and is exceptionally easy to hold and play.
Player Port Maximizes Sonic Impact
The Gibson Player Port is an original concept that allows you to hear your guitar as the audience does, providing a multi-dimensional sonic experience.
Premium Materials Deliver Balanced Tone
The G-45's solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut body provide a crisp yet warm tone with a balanced frequency response. Sitka spruce is a popular top wood for acoustic guitars thanks to its ability to produce full lows, clear mids and sparkling highs. Walnut back and sides add warmth, richness and resonance. Together, these premium tonewoods create an acoustic voice that works for a variety of musical styles.
Comfortable Rounded Shoulder Body
The G-45's rounded shoulder body is slightly thinner than traditional acoustic shapes, making it exceptionally comfortable to hold and play. Whether you're practicing at home, recording in the studio or performing live, the G-45's body shape keeps you comfortable through long sessions.
Solid Components Provide Tuning Stability
To ensure solid tuning stability, the G-45 is equipped with a TUSQ nut and saddle, both of which have tone-enhancing properties. Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners provide precise tuning adjustments to keep your G-45 in tune through changes in temperature and humidity. With these high-quality components, you can spend more time playing and less time tuning.

Very happy
I have just recently purchased a G45 from my local guitar center and I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with it. I have owned many acoustic guitars of various price ranges. This guitar is a solid value in this price range. I have been reading all the reviews and watching videos online of people nit picking these guitars apart I just don't get it. I can't seem to find anything wrong with mine. It plays fine. It has a nice balanced tone with plenty of low end punch and nice clean crisp highs. Perfect for studio work with a microphone in front of it. It's nice and light and comfortable on my lap and just a little bit thinner so my shoulder wraps around it easy just like a studio guitar should feel. I think this is what Gibson was aiming at when designing this beautiful little budget guitar hence the solid walnut back and sides. The satin cellulose lacquer finish just adds to the old world look and feel and I'm sure these guitars will look great as they age and become nice and road worn. My hat comes of to Gibson for producing such a capable product at a price that makes it possible for a wider range of musicians to be able to afford.

Not Gibson's best
I went to the Atlanta GC looking to buy a new acoustic, with an eye on the G-45. They had two in stock and both were consistent to each other. Playability was great, but both sounded very, very boxy. I compared with Martins and Taylor's in the same price range, and the G-45 just sounded like a toy guitar in comparison. I kept going back to the G-45s hoping one would win me over, but they just sounded cheap. I wound up buying a Taylor over the G-45. And that surprised me. I've always been a huge fan of Gibson. I own a J-45 and a Songwriter, and these Generation guitars just don't measure up to what I expect from Gibson.

Excellent Guitar

I have been playing 50 years. I have played several Gibson acoustics and found this to be the most suitable. My favorite acoustic before this was the Martin MMV. Playability of the G45 is great, very comfortably on the neck and great projection. The tone is quite lively and each string evenly sounded while strumming. The guitar is all solid wood and bit light weight. Very pleased with this guitar and would make a worth while try on the other G series Gibson guitars. It's a keeper.....
pretty good

I bought this for my son an accomplished luthier of 15 years. Is take on the workmanship was a 3 out of 5 Said the tone was good but glue smeered around the inside showed a real lack of craftamanship and the typical attention to detail Gibson is known for. His advice, go to the music store and look over the guitar before buying so you won't be dissapointed and it will be a true classic addition to your collection
Great guitar for the price!!

It takes a little for the guitar to break itself in. After I picked one up there was a hump from frets 12-15. (which happened to my Martin, hence why I needed a new one) after a couple days with the included humidipaks, it straitened itself out and plays great. Great sound, great playability, great guitar. It is still an "affordable" Gibson so to compare it to their higher end guitars is unfair and unnecessary.
Great solid wood guitar at a pricepoint! I'd buy it again.

These negative comments listed here are over the top.Yes it has a screened logo. This guitar is made at a price point. Its an all solid wood guitar. It's not a J45 and its not supposed to be. Its a solid guitar for around a grand. The sustain, side sound hole all sound very good. Its a win!
