    I use this stand for a mic shield and heavy condenser mic. It's extremely stable, and the adjustable length gives me the height I need. Since it's a speaker stand, it's thick, so it may not be compatible for some shields to clamp to, although it did work for mine. It's also lighter than some speaker stands I've had in the past for live PA systems, but feels just as solid.

    Max weight is 50 lbs, and there's two different sized threads available on speakers, but the stand comes with an adapter to fit both sizes
