Nice Leather Case

My old protec case was falling apart after serving well for many many years. Decided to try the Gard case since I play in a community band once a week and it's a short walk from the parking lot to the band room. The case is somewhat compact. Not sure this case would be good for a middle school or high school student lugging their instrument to school every day, though this case does have backpack straps. Same for a regularly gigging musician. The leather is very nice and the case is well made with attention to detail. The removable padding has Velcro and can be adjusted for individual horns. Bell configuration on saxophones vary between brands of horns and this case allows adjustment of the padding to secure the horn. Overall this is a very nice case. The info on Gard's website is limited. A call to Musician's Friend didn't result in any additional information. If you are really looking for the best protection, Hiscox cases are probably a safer bet just as Torpedo cases are for trumpets. The case also comes with a rain cover.
