I use this at home for practice. I use it for any small venues and rehearsals small combos or trios where large volume isn't needed. At larger venues direct out works great, no need to haul around heavy equipment. Iv'e had Twin, Deluxe and Princeton tube amps. At my age now heavy is no good. These Tone Masters are sounding as good as the originals. Can't go wrong, try it out.

Really impressive amp. I live in a condo and need to be aware of my volume. I gigged out for 20+ years and wish this amp was available then. I played tube amps most of giigging days. I am mostly a home player these days so I wanted something small for home but just big enough Incase I ever went to jam. I also picked up a Wampler Pantheon which matches nicely with this amp! I also just got a 2015 GIbson Les Paul Studio Deluxe (pictured with the amp) and it sounds fantastic! I got all of these items via the Guitar Center. The 45 day trial period is the way to go to try out different items to find your tone!

It sounded BETTER than my tube amp. It had more bottom end, warmth and clarity. I couldn't believe my ears. This amp is worth every penny! I will use for gigs with The Hallelujah Blues Band.

  • Sounds okay but not the same as tubes

This is an ok amp but the Mexican Fender amps are still the best all around amps . These Tonemaster amps do a good job but they are pricey . The Mexican Fender amps top all these Tonemaster Chinese amps . I am A Fender fan but the good Mexican and US amps top all the Made in China products . The value just simply is not there.

  • Worth it to me

I sold my tube Princeton Reverb a few years back and missed it since. Starting to perform again and needed an amp that was light weight because I have back issues. Tried the Katana, which wasn't bad, but too complicated for an older dude, I just like a nice clean Fender tone and the ability to use some pedals to get effects and overdrive. Something that sounds great without getting a computer involved. This is that amp. It probably sounds as good as my old Princeton, definitely sounds good. And it weighs 19lbs! That's a feather for an amp. No getting around it, It is pricey for a solid state amp not made in the US, a couple hundred less would be more fair, but if you need something that is a no-brainer to use, sounds great, is lightweight and has some nice special features like built in attenuation for home use, this is a fine choice. Rich lows, singing highs, smile every time I play through it.
