This stadium-ready, all-tube bass amp head pumps a staggering 300W of pure tube power through its vintage-inspired circuits, marrying the warmth and richness of yesteryear with cutting-edge features. Loaded with six 6550 power tubes, the Super Bassman serves up everything from vintage roundness to aggressive modern overdrive. Six 6550 Tubes Generate 300 Watts of Pure Vintage Tone
At the heart of the Super Bassman beats six 6550 power tubes, prized for their warm, punchy sound. Together, these tubes generate an immense 300W of power with rich harmonics and sustain for days. The all-tube design and specially-voiced circuits capture the coveted tone of 1960s Fender amps, blending vintage warmth and clarity with raw power.
Dual-Channel Preamp with Vintage and Overdrive Modes
The Super Bassman's dual-channel preamp offers a choice of vintage and overdrive modes. The vintage channel recalls the cherished Blackface era with a warm, round tone that lays a solid foundation. The overdrive channel has an active tone stack for an aggressive, saturated tone that cuts through the mix. Footswitch between channels for the perfect level of dirt in any song.
Modern Features for Ultimate Convenience
While the Super Bassman revels in nostalgia, Fender packed it with contemporary amenities for maximum flexibility. The Automatic Bias feature constantly monitors and re-biases the power tubes for optimal performance. The Super Bassman also sports an XLR line out, effects loop, 4/8/16 ohm speaker outputs, and more. With MIDI channel switching and an optional footswitch, you have total command over this beast.
Iconic Fender Styling
Dressed in iconic Fender blackface attire with silver grille cloth and a chrome control panel, the Super Bassman looks as phenomenal as it sounds. Best Amp I've Owned in 20 Years

I've owned and gigged with a 90's SVT Classic, an Ampeg V4B, Mesa 400+, and various solid state heads over the last 20 years. This is the best combination of feature set and sound quality I've ever had. Used it to play to a room of 700+ people and I had it on about 5 with some nice tube breakup. The self biasing, the footswitchable overdrive channel, it's half the weight of an SVT- so many reasons to love this amp. The new fender matching neo cabs are also extremely light weight and sound awesome. When I was learning how to play my Wayne's world "she will be mine, oh yes" amp was the Sunn 300T, and this is the spiritual successor to that but with a more classic look, love it.

I absolutely love this amp! I've tried several solid state and hybrid amps over the years and nothing sounds better to me than the sound of an all tube amp. Not only does the amp have tremendous sound, but it has plenty of headroom to play large venues. This amp was perfect for me because of the simplicity of the design which includes automatic tube biasing, and includes a passive vintage and active overdrive channels so no need for external effects and additional cables, etc. I'm extremely happy that I purchased this amp.
But I like it!

As advertised-very heavy! Wish they had made room for installed fixed handles like most cabinet have, not these folding spring loaded ones. Have not gigged it much yet but sounds great and is pretty versatile. I play it through a 1X15 neo cab or sometimes a 4x10 neo cab depending...or sometimes both. The stage floor shakes and your trouser legs flap in the breeze at 4. I think this is the beginning of a long friendship!
It's the undisputed king of Bass Amps, period.

There is something to say about tubes moving through actual speakers in a room - you cannot duplicate it. This amp is a monster, and a tone king. It's a lot of amp, but it does everything you could ever want, suitable for practice, recording, and performing any size venue, anywhere. If you're looking for Esperanza Spalding's articulation and clarity, or Richard Windmann's growl, there is only one option, the Fender Super Bassman.
