Best amp for my needs

So I decided to get this amp today after hearing nothing but good things about it. I'm new to bass and I looked for an amp versatile enough that I can use for late night practice and not disturb the neighbors and powerful enough that could be used for small gigs once I learn to play. I chose fender for its reputation of durability and sound. What I love most about this amp is how light it is, it's surreal the power it puts out compared to its small footprint. My "no name" inexpensive passive 5 string bass guitar sounds really good through the Rumble 100 that I'm starting to appreciate it more. This amp puts out 100 watts at 22 lbs and the guitar amp I was using to practice bass (I know it's not recommended lol) puts out 15 watts and it weighs 18 lbs. Guitar Center did a price match and the salesperson was very helpful. I would recommend this amp to anyone looking for a great overall value.

This will not gig. I saw many reviews saying it would.

If you play any sort of heavy music, this is not for you. The 100 wouldn't even keep up with one guitar and drums. At least it was easy to carry back in since it's so light. It did great as a bedroom amp. It even gets a killer guitar tone, it's just not a gigging amp.

  • The best grab & go bass combo amp

My son needed a lightweight bass combo amp for jazz combo rehearsals at his school. This is a great sounding bass amp with enough power for performances while still being very lightweight. Easy to dial in a good tone and built in XLR option allows sending signal to FOH while using amp for stage monitoring.

  • Big step up from Rumble 25

5 months into playing bass guitar. I practice everyday and am loving it. Recently noticed my Rumble 25 does not have the aux play through sound quality I wanted. Bought a Rumble 100. This is a big step up in sound both via bass and aux sound tracks to play with. I really can't compare this unit to other brands, but I'm very happy with the upgrade over the Rumble 25.

This amplifier is just what I need. It's the perfect size and the sound quality is very surprising for the size. I was injured some years ago and I had gotten rid of most of my equipment. My doctor advised me to play music again to relieve depression and she was right!

I should say, I am not primarily a bass player but wanted to get a bass to play with my son (drummer). When the Rumble 100 first arrived it was so light i thought, this thing feels really cheap. I was super impressed when I played it. Deep sound - excellent for my purpose

I bought a practice amp. I don't know if it would do gigs, but I haven't gone past four on the Master. Really a lot more than I was expecting from 1x12. Versatile and light, My Stingray Special sounds awesome! It's a definite buy!

For the Fender Rumble 100, the description says "just under 36 lbs" but under features is says "22 lbs". Which is it and why the big discrepancy?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
I apologize for the confusion. "Compact and lightweight (22 pounds) ported plywood enclosure" - per Fender. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.

Is this amp good with either guitar or bass?

    Open Reply - Ronald
It will work with either but it is designed for use with a bass. You'll have a lot of low end for a guitar that may not have an optimal sound to it.

This bass combo amp is 100 watts RMS, so 100 watts continuous.
