Fender Pugilist Distortion Pedal
Description
Designed by Fender's in-house team of experts, the Pugilist Distortion is an all-original circuit. They consulted with a plethora of players while designing this pedal, and the resulting stompbox is packed with stage-ready features. The chassis is crafted from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum and the Amp Jewel LED gives your pedalboard the classic Fender look.
The LED-backlit knobs show your control settings on a dark stage at a glance. Fender even made swapping batteries quicker and easier with our exclusive "patent applied for," magnetically latched 9V battery door.
Ranging from brutal to subtle, the Pugilist Distortion can satisfy all your distortion needs.

This dirt box is a win tonal and dynamics win and then some!
The new Fender Pugilist Distortion (Overdrive/Distortion w/Mix(Blend) & Bass Boost) is a tonal winner. Flexible from just barely a boost to through the roof grit with warm sustain and all the great tones in between. Very cool & guite usable in both modes (Blend/Series)... and the Bass boost is also a ++ for more flexibility depending on what amp you're going into, how the eq acts et.. Also, love that Fender adopted this kind of a battery door mechanism (magnetic) and the LEDs in the control knobs are also great (and you can turn them off/on with a small switch on the same panel as the adapter input. Thank you Fender for the new well thought out dirtbox of joy!

I would wait to new version comes out
I bought one of these a few weeks back. They sound great but the Switch is less than Quality and Pops when you switch it off or on. Very annoying when amp is loud and driven.

Overdrive and Distortion all in one box

I don't see alot about this one and I'm not sure why. It covers everything from light overdrive to distortion. You're probably not gonna get metal tones, but for blues and rock it's awesome. The blend knob means you can dial in how much dirt you want. It works with humbuckers, single coils and P90s to make a tube amp sing.

1) works great to give a turned down amp life! 2) excellent refined distortion quality and some grit darker tone when using 2nd stage. 3) blend function is awesome 4) series function is very useful as well 5) durable 6) innovative 7) classic switching 8) affordable- worth every penny 9) Doesn't muck up original amp tone and dynamic in bypass 10) bass boost switch is workable and usable. 11) while in distortion, easy to set to not take away from original tone, timber, sound, etc of your amp (tested and used with mosfet and tube amps). Note: if you are looking for a boost, or to hit alittle on the front in, or looking for some grit, or looking for sweet refined distortions then this may be what you are looking for. I looked for years and years....I feel if I am going some where and they say they have an amp; I will just take this and guitar and be confident I'll be in a creative and confident zone!

Simple design with three pedals in one. The variations are endless. Have been working with settings for over a week now and still discovering new combinations.

This is the best sounding drive/dirt I have bought however I think Fender missed the boat on one thing. It should have a switch for each channel. The Pedal is large enough to accommodate two switches. You should be able to enable either channel plus the blending capabilities and parallel or series option it already has. IN case you want to use it like two pedals in one without dialing it in. Im seriously thinking about modding mine to add one
