Description

The Fender Engine Room LVL8 Power Supply delivers isolated, regulated power for up to 8 guitar pedals. The LVL8's anodized aluminum chassis houses eight individually isolated power outlets to prevent interference—six provide a consistent 9 volts of DC power at 500 milliamps for standard pedals, while two additional outlets offer switchable 9, 12 or 18 volts for more specialized effects.

    If I had reviewed this a few months ago, I would have given it between four to give stars. When it worked, it worked great. However, after less than a year of sporadic use, it recently failed to power up at all. I contacted Fender's "custoner support" (LOL) and they told me that without a receipt, there's nothing they could do. Who in 2024 keeps printed receipts for nearly a year? I replaced it with a Zuma from Strymon, which not only works as well if not better, they also stand by their products and customers.

    Can this be used as a pedal riser (mount other pedals directly on top of the power supply) on top of a pedalboard without causing noise issues?

    No. It's not about noise, the LVL8 is not a platform.
