    I've owned nearly every kind of amp - from the current best selling digital offering... to classic amps from the big brands.. to really expensive heads and cabs the boutique amp makers. But I've never been 100% satisfied - until now. Very few controls (1 tone & 2 volumes for 2 different inputs)... no master volume... no reverb... no vibrato... no channel switching... no power scaling -- just pure tone. The 2 volumes are kind of hard to explain as the volume of the channel you're not on affects the sound of the channel you are on...lol. You can watch YouTube videos - but the best thing to do is just tweak the knobs until you find sound you like. It's got unbelievably warm clean tones - and the kind of edge-of-breakup at high volume you've only dreamed of. Don't worry that it's only 12W - this thing is LOUD! Even at low volume, the warmth and clarity are unbelievable. Run your guitar through the pedals of your choice and you'll quickly hear why this is the most recorded amp in history. Bonus - it's only 26lbs!

    Gorgeous cleans at any and all volumes, but the interaction of the controls is not quite what a vintage 5E3 offered, and do NOT expect edge of full breakup or even of break-up at reasonable (home) volumes. Ain't happening! You'll need a large auditorium or an attenuator for that.

    It's a little "Spendy". But it's worth every penny. Zero regrets. I would describe the sound as "delicious". Also, the 5E3 circuit is a lot of fun to mess around with to get all manner of various tones.

    Heard this is a great amp, but just bough at fender blues deluxe 40w amp for a modest 1k. Sounds great, may eventually put a celestion creamback in it per my buddy's recommendation (he was a sound engineer for the Police and Joan Jett. Please explain why amp costs so much for less power and features. Dont think it costs that much more and maybe less to make it compared to my blues deluxe.
