Epiphone

Description

This Epiphone Dove Studio limited-edition Guitar Center-exclusive acoustic-electric guitar comes in a cool Alpine White finish recreating the '60s classic, and features a solid spruce top and iconic pickguard art, plus the Fishman Sonitone pickup system and Grover machine heads.

The Dove acoustic was first introduced at the legendary Gibson & Epiphone factory in Kalamazoo in 1962, and became one of the first acoustic guitars to become a recognized rock-and-roll classic. Now, both beginners and professionals can enjoy the classic sound of the Dove acoustically or plugged in with the onboard Fishman electronics.

A case is sold separately.

Epiphone Surprise!!

I am somewhat of an "American Made" brat when it comes to buying guitars and never really found an Epiphone that felt good to play untilI I picked up this Dove. It was properly set up with very low action, no fret buzz, and a comfortable neck. I was surprised how well it played although I do find the voicing to be a bit dull compared to my Taylors or Martin. On the other hand when I plugged it in, I heard a whole new rich sound coming out and knew the Dove was a keeper. I wanted a guitar that I wouldn't worry about beating up traveling, could properly amp, and sounded good without a big price tag attached to it. I think you are getting more than the price tag indicates, but maybe I just got lucky with this one! I'd like to see Epiphone start sending guitars home with their owners minimally with a gig bag or lower the amount of the hard case that can be purchased separately. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this guitar.

Nice guitar but not great

I bought this guitar for my daughter as a birthday gift after she saw it and fell in love with the overall look (typical situation). And from a few feet away they are all beautiful guitars but when you get up close to the one I bought there is glue ALL over the fret board from factory. The thick paint/finish on the body definitely muffles the volume of the guitar seems like. (For such a large body it's not very loud or full of tone). The most impressive thing about it though is how well it plays and how close to being right the set-up was on the guitar. I've never had an Epiphone before and the radius feels foreignly flat to me and or string spacing but main thing is my daughter loves it and it's keeping her interested in playing!

Very nice looking Epiphone Dove. I do like the way it sounds. I did not like the placement of the Battery for the sound.

  • Good product for the price

OK so this beauty arrived in perfect condition. I did a 3 over and there is no imperfections....AT ALL. I did buy my self a case to protect it. It sounds and plays amazing. I will say I never felt a guitar that feels like it has a brick in it. It's weirdly heavy on the bottom. I had a Taylor concert before that I just sold because I thought I was done with Guitar. Well I'm back and shocked at how very very good this guitar is! I never thought white was a guitar color I liked but yeah I was wrong! Al I can say is WOW!

  • Totally stunning and awesome guitar!!

I have been playing guitar for many years. This was the first acoustic in my price range I had seen in a very long time that I knew I had to have! It sounds amazing through my Crate amp and seems to be very well made! I couldn't be happier!! Just perfect!!

  • Nice sounding guitar.

Due to the headstock mainly. The only case I know of is the actual Epiphone Dreadnought case.

Hello I see no electronics on the guitar but I read that it has electronics. What is it?

    Open Reply - Charles
This has electronics. If you look into the soundhole you will see the volume and tone controls. You plug your cable in the strap button.
