Electro-Voice

Description

The Electro-Voice ZXA1-Sub 12" Powered Subwoofer packs a mighty punch in a compact frame. This 700W subwoofer features a 12" low-frequency driver and lightweight 15mm plywood enclosure so you get chest-thumping bass without breaking your back. Perfect for DJs, bands and anyone who wants to add depth and dimension to their live performances, the ZXA1-Sub is equipped with dual XLR inputs and outputs to seamlessly integrate into your existing rig.

Ultra-Rugged Build Quality

The ZXA1-Sub is built to withstand the rigors of live use thanks to its internally braced 15mm plywood enclosure, durable steel grille and roadworthy construction. This sub is easy to transport from gig to gig. The lightweight yet robust materials mean you get powerful, distortion-free low end in a package that's meant to last.

Simple Yet Flexible Controls

With just a few intuitive controls, you can shape your sound to perfection. The ZXA1-Sub features selectable EQ modes—choose between "Music" and "Live" to tailor the frequency response for different applications. There's also a volume knob to blend the subwoofer level, as well as LED indicators for power and limiter status. The 100Hz high-pass filter routes frequencies below 100Hz to the subwoofer so your main speakers operate with maximum efficiency.

Seamless Integration

Patch the ZXA1-Sub into your existing powered speaker or mixer setup using the dual XLR inputs and outputs. The ZXA1-Sub takes over bass duties so your main speakers can focus on the midrange and highs. The result is a balanced, full-range system with tight, tuned low end. For standalone use, the ZXA1-Sub also features a 35mm pole mount socket so you can couple it with a variety of full-range speakers.

Even for a 12 inch sub, this is enough to fill a 4000 sq ft room.

  • Almost perfect.

Great sounding subwoofers but the lower end is not 100% accurate. Muddies the super low frequencies around 20 - 25 Hz but everything 30 Hz and above plays out clearly with clarity.

  • I hope EV doesn't stop making these. RIP Sxa360.

I use 4 on the left and 4 on the right with ELX15P's on top. With a Yamaha digital mixer and a Driverack 360 for most live band medium sized venues. I love the tight bass and the ease of setting them up.

  • Awesome !

How do i connect the sub with my full range powered PA speaker? Or is it a good idea having a sub with powered PA since it have a subwoofer. Would recommend having 2 PA instead of a Sub?
