Dissappointed , Did they forget the padding

I don't like writing negative reviews but I was very specific when I purchased these covers... I asked ,"Are these Padded?... or are they like the QSC bags" . the salesman's reply was They are padded and we hear that about the qsc. Let me explain... When you set my Mackie 450 down in the Gator bags, there isn't much sound as the padded bag absorbs the impact. When you do the same with the QSC, there is a "clunk" as the edges of the speakers make contact with the hard surface, therefore you are super gentle not to damage the speaker. The EV covers would be much like that but instead you are setting it down on the speakers base (no covering) Folks if you are looking for a "padded" speaker cover, this isn't it. They will protect against scuffs and dust and the cut outs for handles are nice but please don't stack them or place anything on top of them( I'm not talking about racks or light truss) . I almost cut one open to witness this padding. When I load in with my older mackie speakers, I use the gator bags and because they are actually padded, I can actually stack three speakers on a dolly and go... Don't do that with these ... PLEASE. What can i say positive about them... they fit extremely well / snug. The little pouch on the side will hold the speaker power cable (although I would say that it will impact the speaker on the inside if anything hits it) and lastly the embroidered EV logo on the front is beautiful. I wish they would have used that money to put padding in the lining.
