Description

The EKX series, which includes this EKX-15S 15" passive subwoofer is the newest member of the Electro-Voice portable loudspeaker family. It combines legendary EV sound quality and reliability with the latest technology, all in a compact package that is suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement scenarios, including musicians, DJs, installations and other sound applications. This EKX-15S features a 15" LF driver in a tuned and ported enclosure.

EV-engineered components, EV's award-winning industrial design—with robust wood enclosures and durable EVCoat finish—ensures that EKX speakers look as great as they sound. EKX-15S delivers up to 133dB SPL utilizing high-sensitivity transducers designed and engineered by EV (15" EVS-15C woofer).

EKX passive subwoofers are ideal for portable and installed applications, with lightweight and compact 15-mm wood enclosures with internal bracing, durable EVCoat finish, aluminum pole mounts and all-metal handles.

    Cay I use it with a ev 15 zlx ?

    I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. Since the EKX-15S is a passive subwoofer, it requires an external amplifier to function. It cannot be powered by a powered speaker like the EV ZLX-15P (which only powers itself). You'll need a crossover to send only low frequencies to the sub (e.g., 80–120 Hz). This protects both the sub and the full-range speakers.
