I bought an open box and one of the case screw holes is stripped. But you only need to take off 3 to change the battery! It makes a pretty wild distortion fuzz kind of tone. It's real responsive to how hard you strike the strings.

I straight up love this pedal, never once have I turned it on and been less than thrilled with the tones that come out of it! It can be a very chunky fuzz, or just a little grime. Either way, this pedal is great, probably my favorite pedal. I recommend this to anyone who actually cares what their bass sounds like.

i love electro harmonix but this pedal sucks. its a tone killer. i have a great full sound, but this pedal single handely killed. made it sound kinda "lo-fi" and not in a good way. just sounds flat. the distortion or fuzz is so weak.

When I saw this pedal i was looking for a wah. the guitar store near me decided to let me try this baby out on one of their most expensive basses and amps, and i was frankly amazed. people say that your pedal is onyl as good as the amp you play it on, but when i brought this beast home it sounded just as good as it did on that expensive amp. and i use a 10 watt practice amp and a value pack bass! I never play without this thing. And the fuzz gives a heavier more outward sound, while the drive will boost you up just enough to get out there. the 3 band eq works just fine. i recommend this for any bass player looking for a heavier more noticable sound.
