Electro-Harmonix

collapse expand iconDescription

The Electro-Harmonix Small Clone analog chorus pedal delivers luxurious analog chorus effects, a distinctive tone, and flexibility that sets it apart from similar guitar effects pedals. A depth switch and single rate knob make this an easy-to-operate stompbox. Simple tweaks generate exciting doubling effects, chiming 12-string-style sounds or Leslie-like warbles. Its solid nickel steel case replicates the highly collectible original. The Small Clone operates on a 9V battery or 9.6 DC-200 power supply (sold separately).

Here!!

A simple little chorus pedal with one rate knob and a switchable depth switch. Don't let the lack of dials to twiddle scare you off. The chorus sound is well voiced and already dialed in to that sweet spot. All you have to decided is how much of that sweet spot you want and how fast. The Small Clone has a special way of fusing with your guitar in an inseperable way that lets your sound actually breathe. If the sterile swirl of Boss and DOD boxes leave you feeling cold, I'd give the Small Clone a test spin. Unlike a few of the other Electro-Harmonix re-issue pedals, the Clone actually sounded better to us than our old original. It was remarkably cleaner and the chorus itself was considerably crisper. Aside from being susceptible to a few dents, the sheet-metal construction is fully ready for years of abuse on the road or your bedroom floor.

Best chorus bad quality

I am a huge nirvana fan. So just like the boss ds-1 I had to have a small clone. AMAZING sound. But during the first 45 days I had to return it, it started cutting out. It would work then when you click it, it wouldn't work or the other way around. As me always used guitar center. I told them about my problem only 20 days after buying the pedal. I did not get a warrenty but they have the 45 day return policy. Except for me of corse. They would not take my pedal or refund me. So I was very disappointed with guitar center my local and the main.

We love Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins and this pedal helps us achieve that sound.

I bought it, somthing was loose inside, it broke 2 weeks later. While it worked it was good though. Traded it in for a walrus chorus pedal, much better than the clone.

  • This is a perfect stocking stuffer

I use this whenever I want to sound like Nirvana or even just to get great tones out of my amp. This pedal is a great gift for nirvana fans or for those experimenting with effects and pedals.

I've used Boss chorus pedals for years, but I finally decided to give into the Small Clone after all of the hype. This thing definitely delivers, and has impressed me immensely. The Boss choruses seem to shine more in the high shimmery department, where the Small Clone seems to provide more of that low watery tone. The single dial is very responsive, and the switch provides both shallow and deep chorus tones. Though I still love my Boss choruses a ton, the Small Clone is an absolute must for those that enjoy solid chorus tones.

Like others have said, it is very easy to use, yet it gives a nice chorus sound. Set the depth, and you're good to go. I was looking for a very-simple-to-use, but very satisfying chorus pedal while still being affordable, and EHX hits the mark once again. I'm very happy with this product.
