The instructions were not very useful (unless you're already adept in lighting gear controls). I have two EE degrees and can design systems like this but I had to learn a few nuances of how it worked to get it going. Fortunately there were some semi-pro Youtube videos which helped out. Connections were easy and it looks very sturdy. But if you want a simple mechanism to control eight separate dimmable lights this fits the bill quite nicely.

I needed a controller that took MIDI commands so I could run a live show without someone manning the light board. I use a laptop to send the MIDI drum track to the drum machine and the MIDI light commands feed the controller. Everything works as I had hoped. If I had a wish for this product, it would be MIDI out so I could record light controller events to the computer.

  • Just what I needed.

If you do live events and have a mix of LED and standard stage lights this is a GREAT little set to do the job. It's easy to set up and run without any programming needed to run it at a live event that has no set script. For other events that need set programs it's a snap to do with this board. One of the best things about the board is that it has TWO DMX outs so you can take one run to you light tree's and one run to your up lights or stage washes without having to loop everything. The only thing this board is lacking is a sound active mode.

Great lighting bord to use with concerts. The dimmers come with built in patters and are really cool. It is definitely worth every penny. I own three and they work great, no problems.
