The EMG JAX set-of-two is a bass pickup option based upon one of EMG's originals, the J model. This addition differs in that it uses Alnico V magnets instead of the ceramic magnets of the original. Because the JAX bass pickup uses Alnico V magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone is endowed with openness and warmth for a more vintage sound, all with less noise and more signal. EMG has no doubt that the JAX bass pickup set, with its natural presence, powerful lows, expansive midrange, and superior definition, will be as esteemed as its predecessor.
